I am only a college student but i'm getting a degree in teaching so i can coach after i graduate. I enjoy being around wrestling and i have helped coach at a midlle school for the last two years, so i am looking for a middle school around southeastern kansas to coach while i am in college, and i my school will not get in the way of coaching either.

I do know that Chapman is looking for a head middle school coach and at least two assistant coaches after Mr. Hite (WONDERFUL 8th grade math teacher) announced his retirement and Jeff Sheets decided he just wanted to focus on high school. Chapman is not in Southeastern Kansas but we do have a great school district that is very academic.

As for wrestling, I still haven't heard anything set in stone.

Not sure on the new middle school coach, was thinking it was Irvine, but he's the freshman coach.

Boy that will work out nicely...he should know Coach Smith's style of ball real well and the transition for our 8th graders to high school should be great!

No. The new head middle school football coach is Jeff Schwinn from KSU fame (he will also be teaching). The assistant is Scott Hall (I think he is Mr. Hall's son). Another assistant coach is one of the new teachers in the building. Jeff Schwinn has already changed the program by incorporating a new weightlifting/workout program this summer for kids in grades 7-8 and a Football is Fun camp for younger kids.
Mr. Patton will be the new head middle school wrestling coach with Mr. Major's as his assistant. Zach Sheets is the new assistant coach at the high school. The middle school will have the most coaching changes as they include not only football and wrestling but also track. At the high school level, we will have a new freshman football coach (Irvine is coming up from middle school), freshman boys basketball, freshman girls/JV volleyball, cross-country (Zumbrunn), and new track assistants.
