Steve Miller, the Pride of the Lil' Apple and of Parkwayred, was in a barn-burner of his own. The score was 11-9 going into the third period. Miller was on bottom and gave up a 2-point tilt to tie the score. With 10 seconds to go, Miller was victimized by another tilt and lost the match 11-13.
