Swaz I give you a couple of clues... He's from Abilene and now lives in Omaha!

Thanks to Randy! Be careful on your way home. You did a great job bumping your post total this weekend!

Great job Tyler, Boaz, Russ, and all of the Kansans that wrestled. What a showing! I wish I could have been there.

Outstanding work by Randy, as well. You are a great attribute to the sport.

Just a sidenote: Mahan lost to Gomez and then came back to pin Jacobi to take 5th at Sr.145lbs. Kansas boys did a great job this weekend. It was great to get to know some of the people who are on this forum. The coaches did an awesome job of keeping up with the numerous kids on the mats! Gold star for Randy and his updates! Thank you for a great weekend!

Whew ... home finally! Thanks for the kind words but I do it all to glorify the kids of Kansas.

I've re-read my posts and must apologize for some of the gramatical and spelling errors. Today especially, my hands were all thumbs and trying to type was an adventure!

And, I'm still shaking my head about Aaron Ely's match. I can't believe the emotion that came over me. Aaron was flat taking it to his opponent ... when the call was made. However, my emotions were nothing to the stun silence exhibited by young Ely. I hope they meet again in Fargo!

Sorry I could not post on all the young men we had wrestling.

Just sat down after getting home. Great job Randy on the reporting, I knew people would be looking. What a weekend for Kansas. To the parents that allowed your kids to go and entrust I and others with them, thank you, what an honor. I also thank the 140+ wrestlers from Kansas, what an honor to have been in the corner of many of you, and there cheering along the others. I don’t know how many officials that commented about your behavior both on and off the mat, our young men are making a national impression.

I didn’t get to tell everyone bye and thanks but thanks. Randy it is always a true joy to spend time with you, one of these days we will get in those 18 holes.

Despite some issues, I was reminded of what this was all about, especially watching Zogelman and Maple this morning, and then hearing about Rogers and Stephens. I’ll make comments later on, especially surrounding the Ely Match and the Cox finals match, but right now, like Randy, with little sleep over the last few days, it is time for bed.

Still can't figure out the R.T. and I want to know what was up with the 23-22 match with Rogers-Stephens, was it rigged?

I just used a lifeline...I didn't know Ross paid to coach in the event and was coaching for the deal.

So much for credibility when it comes to recruiting those two.

Those are great kids, and I have a feeling that they know that a 103 and a 112 pounder doesn't stand much chance of really being recruited at 125.

What another great group of kids. There was so much wrestling to watch this weekend, I am exhausted! It was a great weekend of wrestling and thanks to all that helped. Randy, you outdid yourself this time. Furches, ain't it great organizing 200 some people? Everyone deserves a big pat on the back. I truly think we did Kansas Proud this weekend. Sounds like we also did well in Danville, Reno and the girls did well in Detroit-please see my post on the women's site.

Well, guess I better go save some lives today.

Ms. Jenni

Swayz, Swayz, Swayz, These two already have several schools looking at them. This was two teammates, who have been working together in the room for several weeks, in intense hard workouts, who have developed a close friendship. They decided to do something for each other and have some fun. Dante was "sort of" wrestling up because he had no comp at 103. The next wrestler they were going to wrestle was also from Kansas and Dante really wanted the chance to wrestle him. Joey abliged and gave him the chance, in a fun way that was better than laying down the leg band for his team mate, they decided to have fun. Everyone there that I spoke to loved it, including the official on the mat.
