This has been taken from the UNO wrestling website and is huge!

Junior Ben Strandberg has transferred from UNO to attend school elsewhere...true freshman Jacob Marrs will fill his spot at 197...freshman Ross Taplin will wrestle at 165 pounds, while two-time All-American J.D. Naig will move from 165 to 174 pounds....injuries will keep freshmen Bryce Boehm (184) and Frank Hebert (heavyweight) on the sidelines for the season.

Sweazy......wasn't it you (and that's a rhetorical question, because I know fully well it was you) that mocked me for for predicting Taplin might find his way into the line-up this year in a thread entitled "Muzaffar vs. Taplin?"

I think your response was something like....."Taplin?.....Ross Taplin?.....No Way....He'll never see varsity this year unless their returning national champ is injured"

Guess you forgot to throw in a contingency for Taplin performing so well, that they might bump Naig and insert Taplin and feel they have an even stronger line-up.

And yes I heard the reason for the bump was that Naig was having trouble holding weight, but I srongly suspect Naig stays at 165 if Taplin's not closing ground on him in the practice room.

And before your selective memory kicks in.....even though American is no longer on Omaha's schedule (the jist of my original post), they were originally set to clash in a dual before the change.

BTW I subsequently deleted the Muzaffar vs. Taplin thread shortly after its origination because of the name calling, personal attacks and references to God that ensued after you and your band of merry men jumped in.

My reply wasn't that dam jerkish. I said he was planned on redshirting. As for American not being on the schedule, I reported that a while back on themat.com when it was brought up.

"Srongly" suspect what you want, while the rest of the merry men and I rob from the RICH and give to the poor. As for references to God? Were they negative about God?

you say it wasn't that jerkish, I say it was - nearly an exact quote. I know you had brought the topic up on themat.com, but I also know that you have demonstrated selective memory in similiar situations. no comment on the biblical references other than to say I felt them inappropriate.

I'm proud of them that's the main reason I posted it. I have nothing to gain from them being in the roster except I can say pride of fellow Kansans and pride of the NCKL.
