Coach Randall informed his team Thursday (01/26/2006) night prior to their dual with Lawton MacArthur.

Coach Randall plans to finish the wrestling season at El Reno before beginning his official duties at OKC.

IMO ... this adds instant credibility of OCU and their commitment to have a top notch program. What division are they?

I think they were wondering who is the top candidate for the job there.

They are NAIA for now. They might try to bump up to NCAA status in the next few years though.

Great article regarding Randall's accomplishments.

The article does not mention who the frontrunner for the El Reno coaching position may be

Archie Randall prepares to build a competitive new college team at OCU

He mentions a lot of people wanting to be his assistant, wonder if Tyrone is one of them?

Whoever they get to fill Archies spot is going to have a great legacy to follow. I had the pleasure of getting know Archie and his son Zach during my Junior High and High School wrestling years in Oklahoma. They are a great family. I wish him the best of luck. and I'm sure that with him at the helm that program is going to be a powerhouse in the next few years.
