I must have quicktime program downloaded into my computer to hear the proceedings. Quicktime is , alas, not so quick to load.... I might possibly be able to hear next year's festivities if I began downloading now... can anyone who did hear the contest tell me how the guys from the Kansas JC's did?

I think Labette took the team title over Western Wyoming 84-82. I think they qualified wrestlers in everyone but one or two weights.

Colby placed 4th as a team and is sending 6 to the national tournament. Tough regional as all five teams comprising the west central regional are ranked in the NJCAA's top 7, as of the 2/1/06 poll:

Labette - 3rd
NW Wyoming - 4th
Western Wyoming - 5th
Colby - 6th
Neosho - 7th

Top three finishers in each weight received automatic berths plus a few wild-cards entries were named too:

Colby qualifiers/regional placewinners were:

133lbs: Levi Younkin took first place.

141lbs: Daniel Prater took third place.

149lbs: Mat Gilliland placed second.

157lbs: Matt Schippers placed first.

165lbs: Jason Schippers placed fourth but was voted in as a wildcard.

184lbs: Bobby Dennis placed third.
