Well...The next rounds were not as kind to the Jets as they crashed hard. Of the 6 wrestlers that were still in it earlier, all the guys on the backside were eliminated.

Isaac Wall lost a 13-11sv decision in the quarters and was pinned in the backside of the bracket for the opportunity to gain All American Status.

Brad Lies hit a major road block getting pinned in :23 seconds in his quarterfinal before dropping a tight 7-5 loss in the backside of the bracket.

Curtis Chenoweth is the only one left for the Jets making it to day 2. The true freshman had a first round bye and was expected to face the #1 guy in the nation, but that didn't happen as that guy was caught and pinned. Thus Chenoweth faced a guy he didn't anticipate, and won 14-5 major decision....in the quarters he drew Josh Fitzgerald of Southern Oregon and beat him 12-3.

Curtis will face Missouri Valley's Jake Oberfoell who beat Jake Stevenson of Morningside 6-4. Curtis has wrestled Stevenson 2 or 3 times on the year and had beaten him pretty bad the one time but has also been on the other end of the whooping. Oberfoell and Chenoweth will wrestle each other for the first time this year to my knowledge. Oberfoell is also a freshman and is currently ranked 6th nationally, while Chenoweth fell out of the polls following a disappointing regional showing.

Oberfoell finished 4th in Missouri in 2004, and was slated to redshirt this year.
