To point something else out, rooting for UCO in DII wrestling is kind of like rooting for the Yankees in MLB. For your information, and for many others on this site, UCO has over 10 full scholarships to recruit with. They have no conference rules for scholarship numbers, so the fact that they contend for national championships every year is a given....The average for DII is about 4.7 scholarships. UNK works with only 1.3 scholarships. Kind of amazing what we do up here with our kansas kids, huh? Soak this year up, because UNK will be loaded for the next number of years, I hope that UCO can keep up with their 10 full boats...
By the way Aaron, if you're not busy this weekend, UNK is hosting the Loper Open and during an intermission they are having a presentation for the 2003 National Dual Champions with the team receiving their rings...Hope you can make it!!!
For everybody else, there will be some great matchups with tons of Kansas kids from FHSU, CCC, Labette, UNK, UNO, UNL, and others going at it...hope to see some Kansas fans there!!!
