University of Nebraska-Kearney participates in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC)

PART I -- CONSTITUTION

ARTICLE 100 -- NAME

The name of this organization shall be the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).

PART III -- OPERATING RULES

SECTION 300 -- RULES OF ELIGIBILITY

The NCAA rules shall apply to every student athlete of active member institutions who participate in any intercollegiate event recognized by the conference.

Each member institution is required to submit a copy of their squad lists (for each sponsored sport) to the conference office on two (2) occasions throughout the academic year. The first submission will be no later than the first week of scheduled competition for each sport during the academic year. The Faculty Athletic Representative must sign off on initial eligibility (1/03; 1230). The second submission will be a revised and updated squad list, including all financial aid. The second submission is due no later than May 15th of each academic year (11/00; 1146).

SECTION 301 -- PERMISSIBLE AID TO ATHLETES

NCAA Division II equivalency limits shall be utilized for all sport except football. The total grant-in-aid for football shall not exceed twenty-eight (28) equivalencies in accordance with NCAA criteria set forth in bylaw 15.5.3 of the NCAA Manual.

SECTION 302 -- RECRUITING and ENROLLMENT REGULATIONS

302.1 Each active member institution shall abide by NCAA rules and regulations.

302.2 Each institution may participate in the National Letter of Intent program.

302.3 Each institution shall have a one-year residency policy for any student athlete transferring within the Conference that receives an athletic financial aid award from the original institution. This legislation is not specific to any sport, but rather inclusive of all sports. If a sport is discontinued, this policy is no longer in effect for athletes in that particular sport at that institution. Implementation date is July 1, 2000 for any student with a financial aid award for Fall term 2000.
