In juco you can sign when ever you want. Are you still planning on going to Colby?

If you are going to go there anyway, you might as well try to wrestle for them or stay active in the wrestling community while out there.

I would encourage you to wrestle if you can work it into your schedule, I was awful at it but really had a good time there a few decades ago, and I am sure that the potential is there to still have a good time, your weight area is full of very carnivorous fellows so gird thy loins with heavy armor!

You gotta keep wrestling, so you can stay in shape for our tag team matches.

Tag Team, ahh yes, I will always be in attendance to those events barring it's not this summer (as I am working on a harvest crew so I will not be around), but I will talk to Lampe when I got Colby for enrollment.

Bronco Wrestler -

My own two cents, for what it's worth, is that you should absolutely go for it. I'm only three years out of college, but I could have told you even at the midpoint of my freshman year at Baker that I had made a mistake in not pursuing wrestling in college. For the longest time, I dwelled on it as if it was going to be the biggest regret I'd ever have in my life.

I don't know how things would have worked out at all had I gone on to wrestle. I don't know if it would have been fun, if I would have found any sort of success, or even if I would have ended up being some throwing dummy for an All-American. What I do know is that for a long time the questions that remain unanswered kept making my heart beat faster and faster whenever I thought about them. Two guys that I hammered my senior year in high school went on to be DII national qualifiers. What if?

The point is, give it a shot. You can always transfer, leave the team, etc. You can't go back in time and correct the error.

Best of luck in whatever you choose to do.

I spent two years at a juco and missed it (didn't offer wrestling), I'm glad I got back into it!

I'm interested to see where both Cornejo and Baldridge are going.

On a completely related note: Hofstra University looks wonderful in the springtime.....

Was it me or did I see on themat.com where a college added a wrestling team? they had recruits in all 10 weight classes so I am just guessing they added it. Nice to see not everyone is dropping it.

If you're going to Colby...well, let's just say as a grad of Colby High, there's not much else to do but go to classes and sports. Don't know what you're going to Colby for (major), but there's not much to do besides become a Wal-Mart/Truck stop rat...Wrestle while you can! Besides, Colby's a good program!!!

I heard Baldridge could be in a red singlet next year with a mascot like the guys who just picked the pope.
