The defending D2 National Championship team Nebraska Omaha is pretty loaded as is returning 8 National Qualifiers from last years squad as well as some former qualifiers from the previous years. 6 of the 8 last year went on to All American status.

I just read that their latest two recruits are from right here in Kansas and I must say it's a heck of a tandem they have signed:

Cody Garcia and Tony Lewis!!!!

I'm pretty certain they will redshirt, but WOW!!! That's good recruiting in my opinion.

Anyone familiar with the class program Coach Denny runs up at UNO realizes that kids like Cody and Tony will fit right in with quality kids that have made up their program. Go Mavs and go kansas guys.

It is really great to see Tony go to a place where he will wrestle. but for the presence of Justin Bedore Tony would be an overpowering heavyweight state champion that would get looks from a lot of schools. glad to see that he will have an oppurtunity to make his mark. Tony was always a very classy competitor that was easy to like. Garcia has obvious talent and would have been a plus wherever he ended up, as well.

Tony will spend a couple years with Sigman, two time national champ ahead of him at heavy but that will only be a plus in the long run for him.

Tony will probably redshirt behind Sigman this year and then go onto wrestle for a spot against Sigman since Sigman will be a senior when Tony is a RS Freshman. What weight will Garcia go 133/141? UNO has many Kansas kids on the roster already...should be fun to watch.

I think UNO has ALT, Tovar, and the latest new kids mentioned above.

Id anticapate Garcia going 133. 141 would be waaaay too big for him.
