We drew a tough pool in Freestyle. We'll have to beat either Florida or Illinois.

#3 Florida
#6 Illinois
#11 Kansas
#14 Rhode Island
Indiana
Colorado
Oklahoma B Team

Erisman will have his two toughest guys at 160. Rocky Cozart (FL) and Travis Hammonds (IL). Hammonds is the #1 ranked 160 in the nation.

We are wrestling Indiana now.

It's official. Rocky Cozart(FL) will not wrestle freestyle. He will be in Fargo though. He has a scholarship to Michigan State and went 10-0 in Greco. We'll have to wait for the Erisman rematch in Fargo.

Too bad KS didn't win the IL duel but they may be sitting in a better pool b/c of the loss.

The Erisman match was never close and all of the guys wrestled great. I got to complain about no heavy though. In the future we have to field a full team, where are the heavys that could have wrestled for the team? I know that Coach Garcia was looking but no one stepped up to the plate. We are in a place now where it may come back and bite us. It almost did this afternoon in that it really went down to the next to last match and we would have not won because of no heavy.

For those not in church tomorrow, get your bottoms down there and support these wrestlers. They are representing Kansas with all of their hearts and I know they appreciate all of the fan support. We should have at least 3X more fans down there than we do. The national forums are all talking about Kansas, yet we don't have that many fans there and it is only 2 hours from Wichita. Great to see people drive down from Kansas City, now like I said, if not in church tomorrow, get down there and yell for the team.

The scores on the 98 & 105 also need to be corrected. Brandon wrestled at 105 and Collin wrestled at 98. Those two Cadets have given points to the team and when one of them picks up a win, it is nice to know that they get credit for it. I have to also say this about Collin, he has really picked it up since the Cadet Duals and is looking much better. Brandon has also contributed. Nice to know that those 98 pound Cadets are doing their part at 98 and 105.
