That would be great. My son has been out for a surgery and is trying to make it back for FS/GR state. He should be ready to go by that weekend and that would give a tuneup. It's also a holiday weekend so some might not come. But personally I would love it.

The Wichita WHY Freestyle/Greco team could possibly send some kids it all depends on the turn out for our tournament on May 14,. We will have kids, cadet, and juniors with open and girls divisions. It a shame there is other tournaments on that weekend, we have averaged 200 kids and some of the toughest competion in the state.If you can add Girls we could possibly get some of the Krusaders to come. I hope to get some of the colleges to bring or send their wrestlers. We have a team of 60 boys and 15 girls with the Krusaders.

Let's not forget this tournament this weekend. Looks like a good last chance warm up before state and would expect some good Missouri kids there. Post some details so we can have more information regarding weigh in and all.

Are the youth going to be grouped all together and divided by weight only? This is what is stated on the flyer and some of the parents are asking. Thanks.

Good question CoachEd, I personally would not like to have my Bantam wrestler (8 year old) wrestling against a Novice or Schoolboy even if they are the same weight, theres a bit of a difference in maturity between 8 and 14.

Missouri uses the "Youth" division for their freestyle and greco tournaments. They group the kids according to age and weight. You won't see an 8 year old wrestle 14's. They have always been within 2 years of each other.
Paola will be a great chance to get more mat time for State.
