We need the lower weights and the upper weights. I have received deposits/commitments from about 12 wrestlers. We need 19 and we can take 25. I would like to have 25 wrestlers available. Even if you or your wrestler is an alternate we will work very hard to get them in the lineup or at the very least some exhibition matches. The camp, the trip, and the team concept is great for all of the kids. I will have the final cost calculated today. I am going to base it on 20 wrestlers and then break it down if there were 21, 22, etc.

Total cost is $225 without prep camp and $250 with prep camp. This cost is based on having 25 members on the team. There are 19 weights and six alternates. We will do whatever we can to ensure that everyone gets several matches. Last year some kids wrestled seventeen matches over the four days! Bottom line, come to next weekend's USA Kansas State Freestyle and Greco Roman tournament! See what you can do, find me and lets get you on the team! I want EVERY Schoolboy GR and FS state champ on this team!

We will be staying at the Budget Inn East 317.353.9781. I did not block rooms for parents. There are several options available on the East side of Indy. If you need hotel information, please email me.

We will be leaving Wednesday morning from Lawrence, KS at 9am

There will be a mandatory meeting at the state tournament next weekend. Please listen on Saturday morning for an announcement!!

I posted this one other time and got no reply. I was curious why Kansas USA Wrestling doesn't pay for this for the kids? In Missouri the Freestyle State Champ qualifies to be on the team and the entire trip is paid for by Missouri USA Wrestling.

Juniors in the past have been $90 per style. Cadets for some reason are more than double, cost $185 per style or $275 for both.

Costs:
$185 for one style and $275 for both styles. This money will pay for team entries, lodging, 2 team shirts, 2 mesh shorts, competition food, and one evening meal per style.

The entry fee for the Schoolboy Duals is $500.00 per team and per style; the entry fee for the Cadet Duals is $500.00 per team and per style; the entry fee for the Junior Duals is $500.00 per team and per style

Scott hasn't wrestled for the junior team, But Tim has. I checked with Jon and the same perks are included in the junior entry fee.

Seems that some might be jumping to conclusions on partial truths! I don't think we are comparing apples to apples.

Kansas Wrestling contributes quite a bit for all divisions and all areas!

Based on participation numbers, maybe more than we should.

I gather the "we" in your post refers to the Kids Folkstyle division who also receives a great deal of the entire State budget.

Some other divisions are down in participation a little this year and if that is a trend, I am sure it will be addressed.

Yes that was my intent. Although I'm not sure what monies are spent on Kids Folkstyle.
