District 1 will be hosting a Freestyle and Greco-Roman Clinic on Thursday, July 13th at 5:30 to 7:30 at Saint Thomas Aquinas. It is free to all USA-Wrestling card members. The Focus will be on the Gutwrench. But you will also be able to get some live on your feet.

To Gut and not be Gut, that is the question. Have the new rules put emphasis on your feet and swayed from the par-terre action. Or does one good gut put a match out of reach.

That is a good question. One observation from the Jr. duals is that a lot of people have quit working on their gut defense. If hitting it, and hitting it fast, it can end a match rather quickly, as some of our wrestlers and their opponents found out.
