Well I don't really want to debate it, im just disappointed. I honestly see this as a set back to the sport every time it happens. And that is just my own personal opinion.
I always wished my parents would have let me start wrestling earlier than I did. I have in the past listen to arguements on both sides of the issue, and most of the time any debating that was done hardly every changed anyones opinion. Those that are against it will probably always be and those that are for will remain for.
From an officiating point of view, 6 and younger kids can be quite tough, especially the rolly polly type ones. But for all that it is worth, its more experience for them and I think a good number of them really like being out there. I do of course realize there are plenty of parents who push their kids far too much at that age, but as long as they are given the choice I say ... why not. Anyway that is my thoughts on the subject.
