Friends,
The Spartans conducted about a month and a half long preseason training period that will culminate with the Big Horn Nationals (Loveland, CO). We spent the last month preparing our more experience kids, middle, and high school wrestlers for their upcoming seasons. We also wrestled at the Fall Brawl (KC) and the Rocky Mountain Nationals Monster Match (Denver).
The Spartan are a new team this year so we spent a lot of time organizing our team, fund raising, and getting to know one another. We are very fortunate with a very talented coaching staff. We have 5 coaches that wrestled at West Point, 1 at Oregon, 1 at Syracuse, 1 at Labette, 1 All Army Greco Team member, and several other Dad/coaches with high school experience.
While we have several experienced wrestlers on are squad, registration brought in 30 new wrestlers ages 8U which will be a great opportunity to introduce these youngsters to wrestling and watch the grow throughout the years.
We are all looking forward to our first practice on 20 Nov.
