We were open in three spots, 189, 215 and 140. Steven Nelson was sick and didn't stay after the first round.
Jon Arveson, Will Irvine and Noel Richardson all took first and pinned their way through. Jess Lemon, Tim Coles and Cody Provance took second. Morgan Shorter, Michael Poland, Justin Cook and Espeseth took third. Jake Avilla took fourth and Matt Coles took fifth.
There were some very impressive wrestlers at the tournament. Holton has quite a few but I was more impressed with some of the Rock Creek and Burlington (or Burlingham-I can't remember).
Our JV kids went to Salina on Saturday. I don't know how they did except I did hear that Mike Diehl took third. The first time Mike wrestled was on Wednesday. Will taught him how to do a take-down but that is about all. Mike is such a strong and great athlete that he is really enjoying this thing called wrestling!!!!!
