Having known Lucas, I'm surprised I messed that up. It won't let me edit it, but I'm sure they'll correct it on the official page. Lucas is off to a great start this season! Olathe North has a stud at 285 for the next 4 years.

Thank you for the kind words about Lucas. And I will say the same for Tanner...he is a wonderful wrestler and even better person.
Have a Merry Christmas.

Isenrod got in trouble the day before the classic and coach sat him. I applaud his decision. How many athletes do whatever they want and get to slide by.

Whatever happened at Gardner should stay at Gardner. Whatever happened should stay with the coach and the wrestler, and does not need to be speculated upon this forum

Aldon Isenberg has represented himself and the state of Kansas in a first class manner across the nation. Anyone that knows him can attest to his character. It's not often that you see a kid with his talent saying "yes sir" to coaches and parents. I don't know about his academics, but by seeing how great his parents are and the way he is respected among other wrestlers, I would think he excels in the classroom too. The Kansas wrestling community is proud to have him in our state.

How nice it would be if more people on this forum had that attitude, instead of thinking that everyone's business was for public consumption and fodder.

Phil Collins got second at heavyweight, isn't he supposed to be on tour or something. I wish him and Genesis would get back together and cut another album. "Sussudio" is by far his best song.

In another topic today it was mentioned that Aquinas seniors Skyler Scott 140, Mark Millstead 145 and Jed Mamie 189 pinned their way thru the entire tournament. These three had great tournaments, as did Aquinas senior Paul Markey who won at 160.

I think special congratulations needs to be given to Aquinas senior RJ Nill who won at 160 with a very impressive 11-1 championship match victory over a very good wrestler, Aaron Berscheidt of Gardner Edgerton. This was RJ Nill's third Johnson County Classic championship. RJ Nill had previously won at 112 in 2003 and at 152 in 2005.

Aquinas has now won this tournament five years in a row from 2002 thru 2006 and RJ Nill has certainly been a major contributor to the Aquinas success in this tournament over the last four years. This incredible senior Aquinas class that participated in this tournament has been outstanding in this Johnson County Classic and their accomplishments will be remembered by all of us fans of this tournament. Skyler Scott, Mark Millstead, Scott Markey, Paul Markey, RJ Nill, Jed Mamie and Mike Hammer have all performed well in this tournament and helped lead their team to the team title in the last four years. Congratulations to all of you and you will be missed next year at the 2007 Johnson County Classic.

It should be noted Nill won at 171 lbs. and not 160 lbs.!
