Watch for Mark Kolmer of Emporia who took second at Kids State this year to Ryan Garrett of Buhler High and the previous year was second at Kid's state to Romero Cotton. I believe Mark Kolmer will be one of those few freshmen who have good results at the heavier weights. Kyle Caylor of the Team of Hard Knox could be another one to watch at the heavier weights.

Jeff West has a fresman this year that should be a very good wrestler for them for the next four years. His name is Steven Skaggs and he should be at 160 or maybe 171. When the high school coaches get him and can make him belive in himself he may be as good as they get. This boy is a great football player as well and we have had our eye on him for the last few years and belive me he will win 20 matches his fresman year.

Hopefully Zach will be able to grow a little this summer and be an average sized 103. I wouldn't mind seeing him and Trent Cox wrestle.

Another name that comes to mind, who is a kids club teammate of Zach, is my boy Kyle Caylor. He's a monster for his age, already bigger than me and his brother Cole.

I dont think Cox will be at 103 next year, he was BIG this year. I see him at 112 or maybe even 119.

Lucas Vincent will be a big help to Olathe North. I am also predicting a Division I offensive line spot for him.

He destroyed everyone at the National Middle School Duals. There was very tough competition and many of the guys he wrestled were Cadets. Lucas is still a Schoolboy. If he works hard at this sport, a High School State championship awaits him by 2010 or sooner.

I agree with chief renegade, but i will say onething hes got against him is weight. its tough to be a big(215 or 275) freshmen state placer the onley ones i can think of is atticus, and elijah, but i think this kid can do it, ive watched him wrestle for a long time.

Lucas Vincent Olathe North 285 definitely showed this weekend by taking third at the Johnson County Classic that he can be competitive as a freshman in the upper weights. He is more than strong and athletic enough to be competitive this year. I think he has about a 11-4 record so far against these bigger upper classmen athletes. That is pretty impressive for a freshman at 285.
Another freshman who I thought looked like a potential state placer this week at the Johnson County Classic was Tanner Johnson of SM East in 6A. He took second this weekend and I believe this has been his only loss so far this year. He looked real tough in the matches that I watched him this weekend.

Kolmer from Emporia looks pretty good and Caylor from Wichita NW are doing well in the upper weights.
