Does it seem that there is an abundance of good wrestlers in the Wichita area this year ? Goodard , Andale, Maize , Hutchison, Valley Center, Ark City , Rose Hill,Derby,Kapaun Mc Phereson, Newton, Garden Plain , South and Bishop Carroll. You have kids like Scott Elliot, Romero Cotton, Bo Beard,Nathan Furches, Trent Cox , the Fishers,Eck,The Kellers, Kyle Detmer and many more. Would like to hear your opinion.

No way, that secret is already out. Having grown up in western Kansas and now living in eastern Kansas and being around the 4A classification my whole life, I was amazed, when going through the rankings, at the multitude of talent located near Wichita.
Look no further than the team rankings in 4A where names like Andale, Rose Hill & Andover Central are being thrown into the mix to compete for championships with the traditional names of Goodland, Colby, Clay Center, Columbus, etc. Rose Hill has had many top ten finishes in previous years but they've really got it going now and what Andale did in 4A last year was amazing.
When you go around to other classes, it remains just as impressive. Bishop Caroll, Goddard, Derby, Maize (which was like a 1A school 10 years ago) are all very good. Let's remember though that many of these teams have been good for several years. What were are seeing now is just what ksbevo said - great individual wrestlers coming from that area. I guess that's is a credit to the kids programs being developed in that area. I rember when the East Kansas Kids used to be in full force and there would be some pretty impressive individuals coming from this region.
No doubt, this season, the Wichita area is producing some impressive talent. (Is Hutchison considered the Wichita area?)

Holy Cow! I have been to Leoti, usually just to have a spinal adjustment performed by Lyle Geyer back in the day. I was the only one brave enough on our team to wrestle that guy. I never got the chance to sample the local fare though - - it sounds awfully good!
I am originally from out dare in Hayse (yes, I know that is not technically "Western Kansas" but after living near Lawrence for so long anything west of Topeka qualifies.)
