Who has the best tournament? It is hard to beat Newton from top to bottom.
Best Competition? My thought is this year, Derby, other years Newton.
Best Organization? I have been impressed with several here in the past but have to give nods to Garden City.
Best Facility? I'll assure you it is not Newton, for those that thought Derby was bad, a fan can't get a decent seat at this tournament. For spectators, Newton is awful, but regarding the best, I haven't been to all of the tournaments in state, but I do like the facilities at Clay Center.
Other Best? Open up, share here, would be interesting to see. I'll throw in closing championship round, easily goes to Newton, it has the feal of a national level tournament.
Sincerely,
James

I thought the Beloit tourny only used three mats?
The only problems I have with the Newton TOC is the lack of seats, which has already been mentioned and the high prices for concessions. Other than that it is a great tournament. Nobody has a better finals set-up that I have seen.

Beloit started using four mats last year. It is always a smooth running tournament.

Did a quick count this afternoon and there are 49 ranked wrestlers who will be at Beloit. I could have missed a few.

I did a quick count of Kansas ranked wrestlers who should be at the Basehor Bobcat Classic and came up with an even 70.
29 from 4A 15 from 5A 26 from 6A
Glenwood, IA will also be at Basehor.

Here is some information on ranked teams. Personally I think both tournaments look about even with talent and I wish I could watch both of them. The boys at both tournaments better lace up their boots pretty tight.
