There are other USA Nationally sanctioned events going on during subdistricts and districts. The Girls USA Folkstyle Nationals was last week. There is also USA National Middle School Duals and so on... If you start allowing walk-ons then where are you going to draw the line? What tournaments will you allow wrestlers to be excused to go to and which ones will they not be excused for. I would like the high school kids to be able to wrestle at state as much as anyone but how do you do this? We are never going to be able to have a 3 week period where there isn't a conflict somewhere.
