Who are some of the TRUE 8U's at 40 lbs for State? I haven't found a bracket all year that was filled with 40 lb'ers at a weekend tourney and very few that have "40" listed as one of the combined weights. I would assume that some of the 8U 43 lb'ers entered in weekend tourneys will actually be 40 lbs at State. Who is tough at 8U 40?
Next, who are some of the 6U kids at 40 lbs to watch at 8U State?
You might look at some of the 6 n under 40 lbers who might move up tp 8 n under for state
As the original post stated, I was just curious about any kids (6U's or true 8U's) to look for in the 8U 40lb class. Anybody have some names to throw around?
I've seen Kale McCracken wrestle a few times and he's got some potential.
Thanks Beeson! I can always count on you to keep me updated on the "Sleepers" out there. I'll try to watch him at a tournament sometime.
Dallas koelzer(olathe south) Hunter bindi(louisburg),could make some noise out of D1 south. Dallas is 5 and hunter is 6, i think.
what about cade miller is he 40, pappan looks good
Pappan is solid and Miller is too. Miller is a "tweener" so I'm not sure if he would be at 40 or 43. Thanks Kelz....everyone keep them coming!
I think Logan Pirl is moving back to Kansas and will be at 8 under 40 sucking 3 lbs no food for two weeks but hell be alright
If you want to use my address and let him stay here, I'll be force feeding Krispy Kreme's down him. He may end up at 49 if you let me have him for 2 full weeks.
How's the knee a day after wrestling? Are you still planning on coming to the Classic?
Alec Ngo from concordia is a tweener also. Don't know if he will wrestle at 40 or 43. But he is Tough.
Knee is good and so is the drive and spirit trying to work out the classic if I can get away would you mind a visitor for the weekend
I've never seen Ngo wrestle, but I've heard that he is pretty tough. Maybe he will come down for the Classic and we Southerners will get a chance to see him.
My cousin and his wife and 3 kids are coming up from OKC for the Classic, but I'm sure we could figure out how to squeeze everyone into a bed. Logan might have to sleep on the porch, but he's tough enough to handle it.
the porch sounds good for him hopefully it will snow and toughen him up a little more
I'll talk to you more as the time gets closer. Good luck this weekend at the Top 100.
Mike,
Your family is welcome to stay with as well if you come down to the Classic. I'm sure Dayne and Logan would have a great time hanging out while you're here. Just let us know...
Chris
Chris,
Thank you so much for the invitation, I will definately let you know as we are trying our best to make the classic. By the way I have been following Daner a bit this year and I would like you to tell him congradulations on a good year so far. thanks again
mike
Mike,
Chris and I are having an Exhibition Cage Match to see who you can stay with for the Classic. Actually I'm glad that we have some options because my cousin called and said that his brother and his brother-in-law are both wanting to bring their boys up too. I don't know if they will follow through, but if they do, tell Logan I may be on the porch with him. Good luck this weekend and let us know how it goes.
KMac,
I saw Kale wrestle @ Maize and he is quite good. I'm just wondering how long he has been wrestling? I also saw on another thread that he practices with michael spangler, who is older. How often does your team have practice. At our club, the younger groups only goes 2 times a week, but we sometimes take our son to the older groups practice so he can get an extra practice in. Our son also practices with an 8 year old when he gets the chance.
Steve
Thanks for your comments....this is Kale's second year. He practices 3 times per week for 1 1/2 hours. Having Spangler for a partner has been a real positive. He is a stud....and a great kid!
By the way, who is your son and where are you from, what weight, etc.????
My son is Hunter Schroeder and he wrestles @ 43lbs. He turned 5 in October, and this is his first year wrestling. We are from Concordia.
Steve
NewWrestlingDad,
He's got a good birthday working for him. I saw Hunter at Maize and he looks pretty good for a first year kid. I think you will see quite a jump in his second year. Several of the kids that we started with last year as 1st year kids have really stepped it up this year. With 2 more years of 6U, he should be an animal during his 3rd year. Good luck to Hunter at Derby and the remainder of the year.
Thank you for the kind words. He really enjoys it and we like that it keeps him active. Good luck to kale for the rest of the year.
Thanks Steve...Good luck to Hunter as well.
Any more names to throw around for 8U 40 including true 8U's or 6U's moving up for Subs?????????
I have entered Alec Ngo at 46lbs for the Wichita Classic. He has gained a little weight throughout this year. I would still like to keep him at 43lbs for sub district. We've been wrestling as high as 52lbs this year in order to find more matches. I feel this we'll keep him plenty prepared for state.
I am thinking about moving Bryce down to 40 for State.
Alec Ngo is a great wrestler I had the chance to see him at Subs he is wrestling 43 pounds though he is in my daughters bracket.
