Just out of curiosity do all clubs require each wrestler and coach to have a current USA card? Team Haysville does, but a coach and his "high school wrestlers are wanting to go to Brute and they do not have cards and want a place to practice. Is it wrong for us to ask them to get cards if they want to practice with Team Haysville?

Not sure but I think you have to have it to be in brute
I believe they need the cards in order to activate the insurance. Otherwise, if they were to get injured while practicing with you, you could open your club up to a liability lawsuit.
Proud Mom -
That is exactly why we want them to have USA Cards!
The liability insurance provided through membership in USA Wrestling requires that all wrestlers and coaches carry current memberships. Theoretically, if even one wrestler or coach does not have a current membership, and even if that individual were not involved in an incident that resulted in some liability to the club and its members, that individual's participation in practice or competition could invalidate the liability insurance coverage for the club and members.
Clubs and their memberships should carefully consider their exposure in allowing members to participate in practices without first purchasing USAW memberships, whether it is the first week of the season or the last.
Brute is not a sanctioned event by USA Wrestling. They don't need a card to compete!
But practices have been talked about already!!
Yes, we appreciate your posts. Thanks!
