Brandon Smith will be in 14U 150. He is a returning High School Varsity Freshman placing 6th at High School State. He is seeded 2nd in the North under Scott Deo whom I am told was ranked 1st due to his high scool record. Isn't Scott Deo a 8th grader?

Just Curious.

He is not in highschool, he has been wrestling kids club and doing very good. He got 4th at tulsa and was at the bottom of his age group in 15 and under 145: a very tough weight.

Then why at the seeding meeting did his coaches say that he was a highschool wrestler. When in fact he is not. Either way Brandon Smith will come out on top. <<< Go Brandon >>>

I did?

All I said was "Deo, 1" because it's my opinion, and I've expressed this to everyone I've talked to, even Scott. In my opinion, he has the ABILITY to be AT LEAST a 2x High School state champ. That is as long as he doesn't get too fat and works hard.

His only loss in Kansas (that I know of anyway) came at Wichita this past weekend to Gettler. He lost 1 at an Oklahoma local tourney, 2 at Tulsa and 1 at Liberty.

I'd say his record pretty much speaks for itself. I am not saying he will beat Brandon, cause it depends on how he wrestles. All I know, as his coach and teammate, is that he has A LOT of talent.

Plus, anyone with half a brain knows that in Kansas you wouldn't get 63 matches in high school.

Also on a personal note, regarding your "Brandon will come out on top" comment, I hope you eat your words

Shoff man wuts up. pretty harsh words to be usin against my mom. anywayz i really dont think this deo kid would be any good. I've beaten gettler on many occasions last year. ( gettler ) and he hasnt showed me anything real impressive this year. brandon on the other hand gives me better matches. jus thought i would get my 2 cents in on this one.

What up Matt. Congrats once again for making the finals.

Didn't mean for any words to be harsh, because I really don't like to start ****. It's just my opinion.

I say we just let it all go and we'll find out on Saturday. That sounds like a good and definitive answer to me.
