How many scratches per district were there?
I didn't have time to get online and check them before Friday. I believe each tournament director was asked to provide that information to Ned. I think we had 40+ in the south sub of District 1. I would like to know how the scratches broke out as far as age groups. Traditionally the 16U group comprises the majority of the scratches.
The reason I ask is because I have never seen kids struggle with weight like I have this year. I heard Biddle talking about it too.
Here's another question.
If one of the top 4 at subs decides not to move on to distrcts or does not show or make weight and the 5th place kid I'd there and does, can he replace that scratch at districts?
In District 1 we call 5th placers today in the event that one of the subs didn't have four or someone didn't sign up for districts. I believe we would take six from one sub and two from the other if it broke down that far. We wrestle for fifth place in our subs.

I would also like to share that the District 2 North Sub-District only offered Friday night only weigh-ins.
We had one fewer scratch than 2008.
We also calculated that of the 41 wrestlers, 29 of them did not even show up to attempt to weigh in.
We only lost 12 wrestlers who did not make weight.
At least 3 of them showed up more than four pounds over weight.
We looked Fri. night at D1 south there were 60 that did not make weight 48 were from 14& 16. Many returned Sat. morn with great success.
