Anybody got a prediction for 14 and under 175
Jared McComb is going to be a top contender at this weight
If I had to pick a top contender i would say Jaylan Padilla of
Junction City. I think he won it last year and he look really good at subs and districts.
Jaylen Padilla was state champ at 12u/165 the age jump to 14u is a big difference. McComb is a beast.
Justin Mcphail is a beast kid too SQ in high school as a freshmen It'll probably be him and Jaylen in the finals
idk but the mccomb vs mcphail semi is gunna be one for the ages
My bet would be on McComb.
Correction Tylor Woodruff was state champ at 12u/165, Jaylen Padilla took 5th.
McPhail beat McComb at Park City this year 9-4, it was a good match but I’d give the edge to McPhail.
Don't count Asbury out he Pinned McPhail at Park City.
My bet is on Asbury vs. McPhail in a Park City rematch. I don't expect you will see a pin this time though. The McComb vs. McPhail semi should be a good one as well. Could go either way. If McPhail gets his rematch, I think he takes the championship.
Padilla was champ at 12 and under 165 last year. I believe that is why he said it is a tough step up to 14 and under.
Jason Murdock
yea it'll be good match for Mcphail in the semis and finals hopefully he gets up there saftly the weather is getting bad over in the southwest kansas
McComb was a freshman state SQ at 171 this year also. He didn't double out either.
McComb and McPhail were in the 12U 150 state finals 2 years ago and McComb won state then. He wasn't able to wrestle for state last year because of an injury but placed at Tulsa Nationals even with a messed up back.
McComb was sick during Wichita Classic this year.
McPhail is a good wrestler and I'm ready to watch their match in the Semi's! I'll take McComb in a bet.
I've heard he may be hurt this year?
i wish mcphail and jared were on different sides...
