My husband was unable to attend the coaches certification training in October and was in Las Vegas for the one last week. Is there any way to get certified before districts or state?
Thanks!
I guess I should add that he has been coaching our boys all year, not to mention that our son is pretty dependent on his coaching. He is not just a parent trying to get down on the mat. If you have any information please let us know asap.
Thanks again
Isn't there a clinic Friday before the state tournament???
I don't know how long it takes but the Copper certification is available on-line at the USAW website.
There will not be any more Bronze clinics this season.
I could not find the info to link to for the copper certification, but i do believe you have to be bronze certified to coach any of the remaining qualifying tournaments. Randy could you clarify this?

No, Copper is acceptable!
I see there isn't any light heartedness in this forum. I'm going back to the high school side.
Bye Bye
As Randy said, Copper is acceptable for the Kansas tournaments. Many of the USAW Regional and National events are now requiring Bronze, however, so when you have a choice, I would strongly recommend the Bronze. This will give you more options and flexibility for the future.
I wanted to clarify this for those coaches thinking about getting certified in the future. Of course, at this point, the online Copper is about your only alternative if you want to be able to coach at this year's state qualifying tournaments! Don't forget that you must also have a current USAW coaches membership card.
