6U & Elementary State

February 26 is the date for this year’s event. As in the past it takes a lot of volunteers to put on this tournament.

Again this year our goal is to be done wrestling between 3 and 4 Sunday afternoon.
We will be running 14 mats again this year. We will need clubs to help run the table during the day. If your club would be interested in helping, the table workers will get in free and also be provided lunch

Will also need help with the weigh in Saturday evening in Salina. We will need 4 people to enter weights in Trackwrestling and 4 people to run the scales.

If you can help with any part of this please email me at jcook@maswu.org

Thanks,

James Cook

Can you list the clubs that agreed to cover a table for you? Normally I help my club cover a table but we haven't had sign ups yet at club practice and don't want to double commit and throw your numbers off for volunteers

Any chance Bonner Springs can host a satellite weigh in site for the KC metro area? Our club would be happy to help!

I am hoping there will be a weigh in Hays at Gross Colisium. As we will be locked into the 321A state tournament all weekend there.

There is one at Gross on Saturday.

There was a morning weigh-in in Topeka last year at Hy-Vee. Who ran that? Worked very well for those on their way to HS State tournaments for the day. Let's see if we can do that again.

If a wrestler doesn't make weight, can they be put in the next weight or just don't wrestle?

No Scratches Everyone that does not make the weight will be moved up!

Couple of things

The restroom for weigh in Saturday night will be a port a potty out the East Entrance of Heritage Hall. This is the Bi Centers deal. So please make use that you have used the restroom before you come.

If your wrestler is weighing in Sunday morning, you will need to have a ticket before you can enter for weigh in. Not the wrestler, just the parent or whoever is taking them in.

All Coaches will need to pay to get in Sunday. We will be selling tickets at the weigh in and a box office on Saturday. If you are in town on Saturday, please purchase your tickets then. You can get your coaches band at Saturday evening weigh in or inside the arena Sunday morning, they will be available by the t-shirt both till around 9:30 or some on Sunday. You must have BRONZE Card, current USA Coaches card and ID to get a band.

You can also buy ticket online.

All table workers and others that are on the pass gate list need to come in the West entrance. This is where load and unload stuff.

James,
We had a couple coaches that went to last weeks Bronze Clinic in Wichita, so they haven't received their Bronze card yet. If they print off an updated coaches card that shows they are Bronze certified will that allow them to coach? Since you stated they needed both cards, I wanted to double check. Also, I know wrestlers don't pay but what about other kids? All the website shows is adults when buying tickets! Thanks!

Ashlie
