I'm sure I got some names mixed up with brothers or something and I know there are more somewhere...
Aldon Isenburg - Gardner

Have qualified for Senior Nationals next year.
We need to start insuring that these young men make the commitment to attend the NHSCA Tourney!

If most of those eligible show up ... we could have a banner year. A year that could rival 1992 when Kansas had eleven (yes 11) All-Americans. Three were National Champion and Lyle Geyer of Leoti was the most outstanding wrestler!

Do we have that many who don't attend? It always seemed to me that the vast majority of those eligible attend.
The research on this isn't terribly easy! Perhaps it would be a great project for Sir Richard!

However, I did check, 6A, 5A, and 4A (3A is a bit harder as the wrestlers class is not part of the results info). Of those 3 classes, there were 20 seniors who qualified but did not attend the Senior Nationals.

Of course, they could of also qualified in the previous 3 years. My results were for 2006-2007 only!

A lot of times too I believe those that go to an event like Senior Nationals are hungry to wrestle in college and a good round here or there could really make a difference!

I know that Bo Maynes in the class of 1998 didn't go compete and he was never taken down or beat in Kansas! That year Scott Coleman of Manhattan went on to win Nationals at Sr. Nationals...

I honestly think class of 2008 is going to be one of those "special" classes to watch.

ooooooooooooooooooooooo I thought he was only going to be a junior or sophomore though.
Jordan Meyer of Sabetha is eligible for NHSCA and he will go so at least I can go back to Virginia and conquer that skimboard again.
Coach Brown
Derek Heckel from Ulysses is planning on going. We could send some quality big kids next year.
Virginia Beach next year ... will Coach Brown conquer the skim-board .... will the skim-board make Coach Brown be an entry on "America's Funniest Videos!"

Big guys will indeed be fun to watch! In the heavyweight class alone, we have, Atticus Disney, Steve Andrus, Duane Zlatnik, Alex Thomas ...!!!
