Kansas Wrestling
With the 5000th post nearing for myself, I thought about how so many people helped me out when I was battling cancer, especially here in the Kansas Wrestling Family. Saturday, May 5th will mark my 2 year Remission Date and I thought since so many people helped me out in Kansas and there is no way I can ever pay each person back, I'd like to throw out an idea for everyone:

I am willing to travel anywhere within the state lines of Kansas to make post 5,000 at a price....so in a nutshell I'm saying let's get an auction going for the rights for me to come to your pad, school, apartment, or wherever and make that 5,000th post!

Now you may ask what is the catch? Well, my plan is for rendering my services to post # 5000 on your turf, I in turn will take the winning bid amount and donate all of it back in the form of a scholarship to USAWKS to help out others who may want to live their dream of wrestling in college like I was able to, but just need that extra assistance.

So what do you say guys?! Let the bidding begin?
I'll start the bid out at $1.38, plus I'll throw in a puppy!
Red:

You are going to cost the poor wrestling student money with that puppy and he probably would not be able to even buy the puppy a can of dog food with a $1.38!

Aaron:

I will put in $100 to the scholarship. If you are in the Kansas City area you can make one of your posts up to 5000 from my house and you will have to show my son one good heavyweight move for next year. That might be a good idea to get several from KC, Topeka, Manhattan, Salina, Hutchinson, Lawrence, Wichita, etc. and points in between to pledge smaller amounts to make one post up to #5000 and you can make a post at each place in route to 5000. You could still make the 5000th post at the highest bidder place.
I bid $200 for post 5000.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I will do any posts leading up to 5000 for a donation (keep in mind how far I may have to travel when you donate too...I will work for Wrestling T-Shirts, hatpins, trophies and other stuff...if you live far enough away a night stay wouldn't be bad!)

Off to work I go....
Bump!!!

Chief,

I know that somehow Richard very mysteriously came from far behind to surpass Aaron. In spite of Richard being the first to make 5,000 posts, I have e-mailed Aaron that I am going to honor my $100 committment to the scholarship fund for Aaron's post number 5,000.
I appreciate your committment to the $100 donation, and would like to see if at least 9 others would come through and match it to give a $1,000 amount that could be set aside for USA-KS Wrestling.

I will try to get in Contact with Mike Juby or Leanna Grater as to if USA Kansas Wrestling is whom checks can be written to. In the memo just put SWAYZ 5000th POST Scholarship (or something like that).

My bid for the 5000th post (without an asterisk) stands as well.
Great. Maybe some others will contribute too and we can get the total contributions up to at least the $1,000 goal that Aaron has challenged us with.

If he comes to your home to post #5,000, we should take him out for lunch or dinner to celebrate his accomplishment.
Sounds great, I'll let you know.
