Chanute High School is looking for an extra team for our SEK Invitational which is always held the last Saturday in January. If you are interested, feel free to email me at albrighta@usd413.org
Thanks,
Andy Albright
Why are so many teams getting out. Is the tournament run well? And most important, what is the hospitality room like? I knew when Labette got out, something was up. Any info would be appreciated.
Mike Hunt
Because they don't post their results in a timely manner?
Where is columbus at? Didnt they use to go to this tourney??
I know this is a different sport, but Coffeyville has a big basketball tournamnet and they pay teams from out of state to come in or at least they used to. Just a thought.
getting out because they dont post results in a timely manner. Wow now thats a good reason to turn down competition. What a crock. Get over it and think about the competition over the results being posted. Kinda sounds like some are afraid to wrestle some tough competition.
I am with you Bock, who cares about the results. That cannot be the real reason so many teams are bailing.
Not enough five star eating establishments...
wrestlers arent supposed to be eating anyways. by the way what does desoto have for resturants.
They have a SUBWAY that ROCKS. I think Will owns it.....
there is also big eds and the fireside inn down in thayer. best steaks in that area. beats all those high dollar steakhouses in kc or wichita
Chanute runs a very good tournament and has an excellent hospitality room. I think some teams are just scared of a little competition. And according to the rankings there is some good competition at the SEK Invitatonal You be the judge:

Looks like a pretty good tourny to me.
I think you may have forgot one! Mr. Caldwell from Goddard!
Sorry for the oversight i'll fix it
DeSoto doesn't host a tournament except for a novice. I have no idea why teams wouldn't go to Chanute. The competition looked to be excellent. Maybe it is too good?? I think teams need to mix it up and go to different tournaments and not do the same routine year in and year out. Travel is alway good, in my opinion.
I don't own any Subways but Momof4 would like it if you frequented the local Sonics in the OP area!
looks like to me if those kansas schools are too scared send coach methvin back to okie and bring in some okie talent. now that would be a tournament.
im also pretty sure that those okies arent scared of detmer either.
