Until (or unless) the brackets from the Junction City Regional are posted online, if anyone has information on the results at Junction City please post them here.
I have tried to get them to post results but have had no luck. If anyone has results please post them here. Thanks
I agree, what is going on in Junction City? Wow, with today's technology you would think someone up there could get any kind of results posted or something during the course of the day. We are talking about a 6A regional with some very good schools in that regional, maybe the toughest 6A regional with to power houses in Manhattan and Derby.
I went. I don't keep real good records but here is what I do have (my apologies for mistakes/mispellings/etc):
03 -- Vesta, MAN over Ruiz JC by about 6
12 -- Deshazer Pin around 12 seconds - over Norris MAN
(most interesting day for young Deshazer, pin at 4sec, pin at 11 sec, and then pin at around 12 seconds - I haven't seen such dominance before. I'd like to lean more about the match that he lost this year. So would others I was sitting by.)
19: Maldonano, JC got beat by Davis of WH by about 6-8points
25: Armstrong WEAST, vs. Shavlik, Derby - I didn't write down who won this one - sorry.
30: Maple - won by pin in 40 seconds over Henderson of MAN
35: Nelson won by injury Default over Wagner (Man) -- (boo, hiss, as i fan I wanted to see this one - but i understand ...)
40: Adams, Man vs. Maley WEAST (sorry didn't write it down)
45: Miller of MAN over Charland of JC by about 6-8
52: Snook of Derby won over Sicard of MAN
60: Reinhart, Derby I pretty sure beat Stanley of Washburn 4-1
71 FeldKamp of Derby, beat West OF MAN
89: LONG of Derby PINNED Deere of Wasburn
215- Goens, WS - beat Rowlando MAN
HWY: Westmoreland of Dery by PIN over Durkes of Topeka
I was told Andrus (MAN hwy didn't wrestle and therefore will not qualify for state due to an injury, i believe it was a knee injury)
It appeared that Derby probably won the region closely followed by Manhattan then WH
Sorry I didn't write down the 3/4 matches.
I have a hard enough time just providing what I did.
Nice try. Appreciate the help! Is Wagner OK at 135 after the injury?
Thanks, that helps a lot! Looks like Derby did really well in the heavier classes.
My pleasure. A friend told me that first round Derby was pinning people all over the place! That pattern seemed to continue in the finals be it first and second or third and fouth place.
Impressive.
I had fun, but saw better quality over-all quality of matches when i watched the final of the Derby tourney this year.

I have no ideal chief. We will need some help from the hat people to figure that one out . . .

what happened to Tyler Downs derbys 215
Goens earned his win against Tyler by wrestling hard and not givng up. Tyler allowed himself leading 21 to 8 with 30 seconds left to be taken down from his feet to his back. A leason better learned this weekend than next.
I wish Mr Goens well at state, he earned it.
GOOOO DERBYYYYY!!! sorry couldn't help it! (ALL 14 in the big dance)
Rob Downs
Yea Goens really earned that win...Great job to him....
Downs stamina was very low that day....B/c Ive seen him wrestle way better than that...
GOOOO Southeast!!!!!
what was the score in the 119 finals with davis and maldonado?
I think it was 5-1..my bad
something like that..

won my first match against derek joseph 13-7,then lost my second match to chaz lawrence 9-5 in the semis, and lost my match for 3rd place 6-5 to josh neal
at least you didnt get pinned...
so you took forth like I did?
yep, who did you wrestle this weekend at your regional?
i was in the juction city regional...
deshazer and reinhart are the only ones i lost too...
o, so you have wentzel first round.. have you ever wrestled him?
yea i do...
only once...but i almost beat him..
he's not that difficult to beat
oh, do you remember the score in your match against him?
i do not...it wasnt much though
no the score between davis and maldonado was 5-1
I saw that Jacob Wagner injury defaulted at 135. Is he OK for State?
Jake will be fine... It's nagging injury that wasn't worth taking a chance with. He's ready for game on! He's a tough young man that will lay it all on the line this weekend.
