cody bontz and cody hill 145. Sharky 130?
Morgan Numrich-Scott City is at 145 and Dakota Hayes-Scott City is at 140 this year.
Morgan Numrich-Scott City is at 145 and Dakota Hayes-Scott City is at 140 this year.
Isn't Hoeme from Scott City at 171 and not 160 as well?
Yes, Hoeme is at 171 this year. Thanks
I may have sent my first message in error--I thought when I looked at them the first time Hayes was at 145 and Numrich was at 140. Looking at them now, those two boys are in their correct weight brackets. Sorry if I misread your information.
Bo Newport of Prairie View lost to Callahan 3-2 and was ahead for a long time. He needs to be ranked.
24/7
Garrett Matthew at 103 is a freshman
chris coover and zach reeb have been wrestling at 140 and who is ethan stickle from colby isnt there another kid wrestling at 145 for colby
hey yo jessie Gibben from royal valley is at 145
Thank you for this information, it is a constant work in progress. I know that there are still some kids moving around in weights. Trust me I am not offended by anything that is posted and class, record, head to head, all of that helps. I don't always get results from tournaments despite Cosmo's tireless work. I will make some adjustment tonight and hopefully it will be alittle more accurate.
I switched the Scott City kids so you did read it right.
Bo Newport is very good, so was his dad, he'll be in there soon enough.
The coaches in this league like to let their wrestlers speak on the mat, so most information comes from other coaches saying, "you have to rank this kid!!" Seldom does a coach say about his own wrestler, "Bill DeWitt should be number one!" lots and lots and lots of sandbaggers

I know Sharky will probably go to 119
Pratt is good, but not good enough to have two kids ranked at 215
I don't try to slight any school, I just try to spread the love around because we all know competitive 4A is
I live in Eudora and don't follow all 64 teams. I follow Eudora, read the forum, check results, listen to all of the excellent coaches that e-mail me and then go from there.
Keep posting
Now you understand my avitar
Stay up late and you will see the changes
Hattabaugh needs to be back in the mix for 145.
Cody Hill - Hugoton has moved to 140....I think you have got to put Josh Rodriguez -Ulysses in the mix at 145...he has beaten Hill twice this year and his lone loss is to C. Bontz by a pt.
also is C bontz staying at 145 or going to 140?
Alot of kids deserve to be at 145 this year it is a very competitive weight group. Id like to share my thanks with redstorm for working hard to put this thing together and since i know you probaly had plently of help thanks to everyone else keep up the good work
Shouldn't Kyler Wallace from Clay Center be in the mix at 152?
I don't think Weaver from SFT is wrestling at all this year. He broke is back in a motorcycle accident.
24.7
RJW1 OR jojo: Ethan Stickle @ 152 #3 for Colby - Did he move up and wrestle off, or is he still at 145 behind Zweygardt?
He won his tryout matches this week and will be wrestling 152 this Friday and the Liberal Tournament. So for now he is at 152. Merry Christmas Moeder
Blake Arnberger
Taylor Baird of pratt beat soucie from independent at the pratt tourney in the finals
name, grade, weight, match information? Those things are helpful. Thank you.
Ryan Wuthnow 6th at 160 might be questionable, especially with Lemon being 4th. Wuthnow wrestled the number 1 kid (Rempe) from 321A and the number 1 kid (Caldwell) from 6A losing by 3 i believe to rempe. Lemon loses to Anderson from Clay who is nowhere to be seen in any rankings (not taking anything away from Anderson, but I cant wait to see Lemon and Wuthnow wrestle if Lemon is actually a 4th ranked caliber wrestler.
They are all questionable in my opinion.
I think both Weller and Seaton are great, but Symon beat Derrick in their only meeting that I know of this year. Should Symon not be ranked above him?
24/7
Drake Lovvorn Soph at Holton placed 6th at Eudora losing to Cameron Jesseph by a take down in overtime.
Taylor Baird of Pratt Beat Soucie of independent 8-4 in the pratt finals 2 weeks ago. i was wondering why Soucie is ranked number 2?
Thank you, there are some matches I was not aware of that I am being made aware of, updates will be made after Christmas, but feel free to rank those kids however you want until then.
Anderson from Clay Center did beat Jess Lemon in the very first match of this season. I am surprised to see that he is not ranked but I expect he will be by the end of the season. Anderson is a very good wrestler and has improved a lot this year.
Something that may be interesting to note: Before the duel with Clay Center, Chapman wrestlers had only two days of practice as they spent most of the first and second week getting their wrestling room back together (it is still in a mess as everyone - hs basketball, jr basketball, hs and jr high wrestling, cheer, dance and even music programs -are all using the only gym left after the tornado which in itself is still having work done to repair the roof, sides and parts of the floor. If you look at the pictures of the damage, you will notice that the area of the gym that took the biggest hit was exactly where the wrestling room use to be located. In fact, the words that you see that says dedication, determination are from the INSIDE of the wrestling room. Take a look at
http://usd473.net/ ).
This year is definately a time of adjustment for all the students, staff and athletes as the school moves forward. But the future looks very bright....one of the new features being planned and will be built by next year is a large wrestling room/gym that will be located between the district gym and the new middle school gym. (of course, with the weather in the single digits, I think the biggest thing everyone can't wait for is having hallways located inside a school instead of having to walk two blocks outside between each class).
Ryan Wuthnow (6th at 160) beats Chase Wells (3rd at 160) 5-3 at the Royal Valley Tournament.
sorry that i did not clarify his weight and grade but Taylor Baird is a 10th grader at 160. He beat senior Derek Soucie of independent. I personally saw the match and Baird was throwing Soucie around.
Derek Soucie is currently out with an illness that he was also suffering from at Pratt. He was not wrestling any where near his potential and I would argure the point that Taylor Baird was throwing Soucie around. I'm confident this will be sorted out later this season when Derek is full strength.

Hopefully the process is a speedy one.
Well now that independent is a 4a school Soucie and Baird will see each other at regionals. Hope to see a good match from both.
11th grader, Josh Rodriguez should be ranked at 145 I seen him beat Morgan Numrich 7-1 at goodland , and Cody Hill twice earlier this month. his only loss is to C Bontz,by one point.
Pratt's Bortz (189) defeated (189) Bowman WHS by an 8-0 major decision at the Pratt Tourney as well.
Keep an eye on Flannigan-160- from Colby. He did not wrestle last year, but from watching him on the mat, he is a wrestler that will make some serious growth this year.
Are there ever going to be any updates here
They will be updated later this week. I am enjoying the holidays, but will try to update before most of us return to school next Monday. Then some very large tournaments next month will make the process that much easier. Plus Coach2 doesn't think that this old Hays boy has any love for the SW part of the state so I will do a little more looking through past results. To my knowledge though, I think Hugoton and Ulysses are the only 4A schools left in that part of the state and sorry to say, not a lot of news comes from out there so rather than post with cryptic messages, names and results would be very helpul on this forum. I get e-mails from Colby and if I need Coch Lippelman in Scott City, I just dust of my CB and call his handle. I used to date a girl in Russell, so I keep some tabs on the Broncos, but outside of the NCKL & Wichita area, what 4A teams are left west of Topeka?? In otherwords, post information or PM me information that I may not have. We want to consider any and all wrestlers for the rankings and hopefully be as accurate as possible.
RedStorm I never meant anything bad about you sir, but you hit the nail on the head with Hugoton and Ulysses. They have a couple of strong kids there. Look at that 145 pounder from Ulysses and the 140 pounder from Hugoton them kids should be ranked in the top 5 in any class
Which kids do you have in mind? I am sure they are in my data base, but I want to make sure, also age grade and record would be helpful as well, thank you.
Cody Hill 140 and Josh Rodriguez 145, Rodriguez has beat Hill twice and beat Numrich 7-1 this year already, But Hill at 140 is going to be tough, just as he was at 145...
I see you have sharky slyter over Zac Sparr didnt sparr beat slyter at state last year at 119.
Yes, Sparr beat Slyter at state last year at 119.
Boy this time of year is fun we all have to much time on r hand's we all have r top six in each weight class in r mind's .I can't wait for all of the kid's to be on the mat soon. It's not long now . GOOD LUCK TO ALL IN SECOND HALF!!!
Hey Mr. DeWitt hoping your having a wonderfull new years but when do you expect that you will put up New rankings?
Hey Mr. DeWitt hoping your having a wonderfull new years but when do you expect that you will put up New rankings?
I did thank you. Sunday and then they will be updated pretty much weekly after that as we find out who is elligble, who is inelligible and what weights kids will be settling in to. I have been receiving good information throughout break and the coaches that help me with this have done a good job of updating me. The ever vigilant forum has kept a watchful eye as well. Rankings can be a trickly thing, I don't want to slight a kid only to have him tag one of my Cardinals at a tournament just to make a point so I do take this role very seriously.
