Coach Jake Klein and Myself will be hosting some Senior National Practices at Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 5:00 beginning Wednesday March 7th, 2012. Our goal is to work with other area schools and come up with a list of practice times and dates from this work-out.

In the past we have had a very nice showing of Senior Athletes training for VA, Beach! Let's get started training and preparing to become All-Americans.

Please post if you plan on attending. I will also post updates from each practice including participants.

If you don't know Jake Klein he was a 4 X High School State Champion and a 2 X NCAA Division I All-American at the University of Nebraska.

Good luck state wide in your training men!!!

Coach Church

P.S. I will post weekly practice dates and times up until the we leave for VA BEACH after this first practice!

Klein was "only" a 3 X High School State champ. Either way a darn good wrestler.

I think you might have merged his bio with Doug Hoover, another Kapun wrestling great.

No, I knew that... I just accidentally hit 4... Those keys are close together on the keyboard smile Many apologies... haha!

Either way... He is pretty legit to train with!

... and did you accidentally say "steal sharpens steal" or are you planning on financing your VA trip by alternate methods?

Not contradicting anyone so please no comments but you have to be a heck of a lot better than "a darn good wrestler" and "pretty legit to train with" to be a 2XD1AA. Klein is a "bona fide beasty bad ass" and that is an understatement.
Hunter Weddington 170 will be at the workouts

Good information to know! Will get my son there. Can we bring a couple of kids who are not Seniors but will be competing in Va?
Coach Church,
Alex Bontz and several others from ACHS will be there tomorrow night.
I think ACHS will also be available to throw in the mix for locations.
See you tomorrow night to discuss.

LOL!!!!! Thank goodness I am a math teacher smile Appreciate the call out Randy!!
There will be open room workouts for high school wrestlers competing in the next month (Kids Club, Corn Cob Classic, Virginia Beach) at Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 5:00 Monday through Thursday. We had 16 wrestlers yesterday representing many of the weight classes. Hope to see everyone there.

And . . . its 'iron sharpens iron'. It must be pick on Coach Church day today. Grin.

Proverbs 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

If you don't mine my asking . . . is Mr. Matt Reed going to wrestle in this event?

Thanks.
Is practice this week 3-12 still at Kapaun?
Yes... I will not be there today as I have a meeting at my church at 4:15 but Jake Klein will be there as well as other coaches from the area! Work hard and have a great week gentlemen!!!

And yes, Mr. Reed will be on the trip to the Beach!

Practice for Thursday the 15th is canceled. Many of our wrestlers will be in Colorado, some at banquet, and others at NCAA Championships. We will pick back up on Monday the 19th at 5pm in the Kapaun wrestling room.

Practice has been great. Intense. Guys in the room are working hard. If your not there, you are missing out.

KLEIN
Coach Klein,

Thanks for setting up and running these practices. I hear they have been intense and productive with a great group of wrestlers!

Thanks to Dalton Miller of Arizona State for attending practice yesterday. It's Spring Break and after a long D1 season he finds a wrestling room to help out and roll around in.
Jake I would also like to thank you for taking the time to make this happen!

Props to Daniel DeShazer of Oklahoma and Tyler Dryden of Fort Hays State finding time during their spring break to practice with our high school kids this week.
I would like to thank all of the coach's for holding practice and all the encouragement they have given. Also to all the Team Kansas Wrestlers that have been in the practice room, good luck next week in Virginia.
One more work-out Monday at 5:00 P.M. at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School. I will not be there as we are having our wrestling banquet that night, but Coach Klein runs a great practice and will get the job done! See you all at Virginia Beach!!!! Can't wait to see all of your hard work pay off!
