I just added their classes...
5A 195 Weigel v. Archer will be a match I'd definately pay to see!
Williams v. Ochs - May happen in Denver?
Dickman v. Maki - 5A final?
Gehring v. Thibault - Next weekend at Circle?
Johnson v. Wuthnow - 321A final?
Weigel and Archer are at Garden City this weekend.
120-Marcus Phillips-Ww 5a
Josh Goepfert of Marysville at 113 321A
113 Trey Francka-12-Chase Co. 321A (23-0)
113 Austin Swartz-11-Council Grove 321A (15-0)
182 Austin Tillman-11-Topeka High 6A (14-0)
220 Kane Washington-12-Hoxie 321A (11-0)
I'm not sure on Tillman, but his record was published in The Topeka Capital-Journal as being undefeated. However, he hasn't been in any tournaments lately, so he maybe injured.
The other wrestlers are all undefeated.
Tillman was injured in his semi-final match at the Salina South Tournament and then defaulted in the finals (he never took the mat in the finals so many would not consider that a loss). He was wrestling Beau Brown of Colby in a good battle which he won by a point, but injured an ankle on a last second takedown attempt by Brown. It appeared to be a serious injury at the time and I'm not surprised that he has not wrestled since. . .
Other possible undefeated matchups:
Francka vs Swartz (Chase County, Regionals, State)
Francka or Swartz vs Goepfert (State)
Gentzler vs Phillips (Regionals, State)
Humphrey vs Biddle (This weekend at Fredonia, Circle, Regionals, State)
Humphrey or Biddle vs Tooley (State)
Franklin vs Weldon (Rose Hill)
How can weigel and gilliand be 20 miles away from each other and never wrestle? Weigel and archer should be great tomorrow.
Are any of these kids undefeated during their whole high school career?
Pretty sure Gentzler is as close as it gets with one high school loss against out of state competition frosh or soph year. Still very impessive..
Kevin Seybold
Humphrey only has 2 losses in his career I think

They could have met up in a dual on December 13th, but Gilliland must have suffered some sort of injury or he was ill because he missed the MCL Round Robin the following day.
It's too bad that matchup didn't happen, however you can't fault someone for trying to stay healthy for the long haul.
Ok, here it goes, Beeson is going to PISS some people off. If your undefeated, you have not wrestled any tough competition. Let the PARTY begin. Disclosure: Gentzler is one of the few I can say has wrestled tough competition. Anyone else?

Butler defeated Geary. Outside of Geary, I'm not sure that there are any tougher 285 pounders in the state.
Well for what its worth. Weigel has tech falled the #3 all class wrestler twice this year. I am excited to see the result of Archer and him. It should show where both of them are as the best.
Weigel is a beast , super tough on top .

I just took a peak at the 145 bracket at state Weigel's freshman year. Top 5 finishers, in order: 1. A. Bontz 2. P. Weigel 3. S. Blew 4. B. Koehn 5. B. Guillen.
That's what I called stacked, and it makes Alex's undefeated season even more impressive.
B. Humphrey vs. Kasey Biddle at Fredonia right now! great undefeated 321A match up! Brogan certainly has the edge, but would still be awesome to watch!
Thibault vs. Gehring next week at Circle Tournament!

Looks like Humphrey just got the win 8-3 over Biddle. I watched the live bout scoring on TrackWrestling and here is how it went:
1st
T2 Humphrey
E1 Biddle
T2 Humphrey
2nd
Humphrey picks bottom
R2 Humphrey
3rd
Biddle picks bottom
E1 Biddle
T2 Humphery
E1 Biddle
Humphrey moves onto a (25-0) record this season while Biddle is (21-1). They should have a few more battles this season.
Congrats to the currently undefeated wrestlers!
132 - Lucas Maki - AND - 5A
Maki is no longer undefeated as he ran into a tough competitor from Putnam City, Oklahoma, today at the Fredonia Tournament. Here are the results directly from TrackWrestling:
Keegan Moore (Putnam City High School) 26-1, So. over Lukus Maki (Andover High School) 17-1, Sr. (Maj 14-3).
Weigel is a beast , super tough on top .
Weigel gets the win in the battle of undefeated wrestlers over Archer.
Preston Weigel (Hays) 34-0, Jr. over Dillon Archer (Newton) 27-1, Sr. (Dec 2-0).
And then there were 28...
