The Basehor-Linwood school community is deeply saddened by the death of Shealyn Hayes, a freshman at Basehor-Linwood High School. Shealyn died from injuries sustained from a car accident on the way to school this morning. Her brother, Tristan Hayes, was also involved in the accident, and remains in the hospital.
Shealyn was also a wrestling manager for us this season. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts as her brother is still in the hospital recovering.

Horrible news, I feel for the entire Bobcat wrestling family.
May the Hayes family, friends, and classmates find strength, hope and love. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

STA Wrestling Kids Club
Very sorry to read this...

In the face of such incredible weight and sorrow, may we recognize that we are all one heartbeat away from eternity. Today is the day of salvation. Please know that there is no salvation apart from Jesus Christ.

I for one am praying for the Hayes family. Specifically that God would give them strength and understanding. That right in the middle of the toughest storm of their lives, any and all that knew Shealyn will consider where they stand before Christ.
Prayers and thoughts from the Wichita Heights Wrestling Family!
Sending Prayers to the Hayes Family, and to the Bobcat wrestling family.
