I would like to invite you to join or transfer to Team Bandidos in order to take advantage of a newly created wrestling opportunity. The District 2 leadership has graciously made it possible for you to register for the District 2 State Qualifier to be wrestled at Andover HS on March 22. Registrations are due by March 19th so please don’t delay. If you already have a USAWKS wrestling card our club dues will be a $25 which include a club t-shirt and cover the entry fee for the District 2 tournament. This is a tremendous opportunity…brackets have the potential to be enormous and you will get a ton of quality matches in. So…start the preparation for your 2014-15 champagne now; join Team Bandidos!
To be clear...if you failed to register for Subs in your respective district or if you fail to qualify at your own Sub, email me at bandidos.usawks@gmail.com and I will get you our registration paperwork.
Coaching staff is still being ironed out! But I promise that you will NOT be disappointed it will include some of KS best.
I have already received a couple emails asking if this is for real! I assure you it is. Our club charter is in the works and we are open for business. Join Team Banditos today!
I just want it clear that this was started in D3 not D2.
I am confused again Beeson...I thought you said D3 was manipulated by being told that "everyone" else was in the water already. But D2 leadership did this storm trooper style without even having a vote.
Besides we would like to come down and compete with the best and everyone knows that if you want to compete with the best go to D2.
Join Team Bandidos today!
Respectively why do we need to join your club? Our kids already have cards under a charted club and there is nothing in the Bylaws that says I have to wrestle in my district. We should be able to sign them under our own club and cover them with a coach for Districts and then we will all be under 1 roof at state if they qualify. May not even be necessary if everyone makes it but doesn’t hurt to have a plan B.
No Problem Daniel
Our bylaws require you to belong to a club within the district you are competing. Team Bandidos does not want to break any rules. That is why our club charter in D2 is in the works! That being said, I would be happy to recognize any of our State Placers in the end by their hometown club. I am not trying to steal any kids away from their hometown clubs...I just want to assist getting your kids registered to wrestle, so they can take advantage of this tremendous opportunity given to them by D2's leadership. Thank you very much for your question and your interest in Team Bandidos! Help me spread the word...join Team Bandidos today.
Daniel I see your club is hosting the D1N Sub District Tournament in Topeka. If I get you a flier would it be possible for you to hand it out to all of your non-qualifying wrestlers who are NOT moving on to Districts in Olathe? The deadline for the D2 HS division is on March 19th so these non-qualifying athletes who were eliminated from the State Series can definitely get their registrations in under the wire and still wrestle for a spot on the State bracket representing D2. Another bite at the apple...so to speak. BTW if they want to avoid those boys who beat them on the 15th they can pick a different weight to wrestle at in D2 that would give them their best chances once they make the State bracket!
I don't want anyone to miss out on this awesome opportunity. Join Team Bandidos today!

District 3 is where this originated. Being manipulated is still better than being given no choice.
OK all makes sense, I will spread the word. I also have a wrestler that is a HS Freshman but technically qualifies for 14U, he didn’t register for Subs but now wants to wrestle. Since he is a HS kid can I sign him up under this new group and he wrestle the HS division?
Yep Daniel...I forgot to add that to my original post. The 14U freshman who chose to compete at 14U now have the opportunity to wrestle another week at the HS division if they are eliminated at subs; or just didn't get their registrations in by the seeding meeting last Sunday. There are so many good things with this ruling I am not sure why we haven't done this before! Thank you D2! Don't miss this shot; join Team Bandidos today because "Its not too late until D2 says its too late". I better call the copier and get some more fliers made. Join Team Bandidos today!

Posts: 26 Why was sub district cancelled for high school in D2? To save money? Less Travel? Not enough Kids? Here are some facts as I read them....
1. There are 32 total brackets that were to be wrestled in D2 High school division this weekend. 16 of those are big enough brackets that kids would be eliminated. That's 50% of Brackets
2. In 8U there are 36 total brackets with 16 big enough for kids to be eliminated. That's 44.4% of Brackets
3. In 10u there are 40 brackets with 16 big enough for kids to be eliminated. That's 40% of Brackets.
4. In 12U there are 42 brackets with 13 big enough for kids to be eliminated. That's 30.9% of Brackets.
5. In 14U there are 46 brackets with 19 big enough for kids to be eliminated. That's 41.3% of brackets.
Why the special treatment for High School Kids. The rest of us are hard working parents that could use a financial saving of not going to SUBS.
PS.... There will be $16540 in entry fees for this tournament. So what is really going on?
Bradbee...I am not sure of the motives of those involved so I won't speculate.
But I do want everyone from D1, D3, and D4 to be aware of the tremendous opportunities that were not available to them before D2 leadership went down this path AND give them a pathway to take advantage of said opportunity. Team Bandidos is not trying to make any money off of this...so Team Bandidos is NOT taking financial advantage at all. You might say we are here to help facilitate this change...or not. But, Join Team Banditos today!

USAW Kansas Kids does not make any money off the entry fees into the qualifying series tournaments. The entry fee paid to enter the Sub-district tournament is paid to the host club, the entry fee for those qualifying for the District Tournament are paid to the host club. The entry fee paid for those advancing to the State Tournament are paid to USAW Kansas Kids.
That's fine Richard....but answer the rest of the post.
so we have the choice to go to D3 also if we want to wrestle district we just need a club to take us in or make a club?
Yep snow there is nothing stopping you. But just for giggles here are the state pairings as listed in the bylaws...
2014
District I vs. III
District II vs. IV
However, I do not want the original intent of this post to be lost in the bickering between D2 members and their leadership or other outliers.
Team Bandidos is for real. We have a verified opportunity for your HS wrestlers to compete. Why not just join Team Bandidos and let D2 be our host on March 22nd.
Join Team Bandidos today!
But is it just for high school wrestlers? Or can all kids take advantage of this?
Well I know there will be a kid 12under or whatever age show up to wrestle at D2 and if you say no your not HS to bad. You break the rules for one you better break it for all....I see lawsuit in the works

As I see it the bylaws can change at any time so I guess pairs might change at the raising of an arm....
Wonder how much back pedaling is going on right now? I can’t imagine this (eliminating HS class at SUBs) is a simple and clean cut as some have tried to say it is. This will be fun to watch play out, based on a few other conversations outside this forum it is going to get extremely entertaining and serious (legalities) over the next couple days. What may get lost in all this is we (KS) look like a dysfunctional mess, other states and organizations read this board and we look like a bunch of unorganized dips. We have a crew, mostly kids club directors if I am correct, in the state that just ran a very large National level tournament and by all accounts did an awesome job but due to a couple decisions on an unrelated event we now look like we have no clue how to run a wrestling community. Maybe I am wrong but as a disinterested party to this whole mess it doesn’t look good. My wrestler is 10U, hope this gets worked out before it’s our problem.
I am with you sig. All of us here in KS look like a joke. We cant seem to work together for the kids.Sad,if we want to change some think that would help the kids let the HS coaches in the kids club rooms.Let the HS kids wrestle kids club any time. That would help the kids way more than bypassing subs.
And just for the record so my PM stops getting blown up, I don’t support the last minute change. If you want to change something do it the RIGHT way for the state not just 1 or 2 groups. Should be same rules for all, after all we are USA Wrestling-Kansas not USA Wrestling- D1, D2, D3, and D4.
Sig...there was decent on the board for just the reason you are laying out in your email and there is absolutely no reason that needs to be kept a secret. In full disclosure and with permission from these individuals I am going to tell you who Team Bandidos is...it does not need to be a surprise.

I gave you a brief bio of each of these men because there is bound to be questions of why? I do not want any of their characters to be impeached. Their resumes speak for themselves. They are all fine men who care about kids both on the mat and off. As a group, all of these men have done a tremendous job providing opportunities for wrestlers in Kansas. We feel empathy for the young men who are going to CO and their families. We wish that tough choices like this were not required in life...but they are. We wish that the district boundaries in District 4 were not such of a challenge...but they are. However, as a whole we did NOT believe that it was right or allowable by the bylaws, which many of us helped draft, to do what was done on this short notice. Many loop holes were created by a decision that we believe was at best short-sighted.
When bad decisions are made some lose and some win. The decisions made last week were structured so that a few would win but not enough thought was given to who would loose. The men who made the decisions were not bad men. And I will contend that they would have equally impressive resumes as those listed here. However, we feel strongly that the best way to prevent such short-sightedness by future boards (regardless of the good intentions) is to expose every loop hole for what it is...thus the formation of Team Bandidos.
Team Bandidos is for real. Email us bandidos.usawks@gmail.com for registration information.
We should have a few for you. Will let you know.
Hmm. Is there another "District" qualification tournament that is not the weekend of the 22nd? For instance, if a kid can make subs but not district?
Hmm. Is there another "District" qualification tournament that is not the weekend of the 22nd? For instance, if a kid can make subs but not district?
We currently have someone working on that!
Most success requires hard work, but with just some bird food and a loud noise you can get a duck to crap on your neighbors porch every day.
I would like to invite you to join or transfer to Team Bandidos in order to take advantage of a newly created wrestling opportunity. The District 2 leadership has graciously made it possible for you to register for the District 2 State Qualifier
Is this for real, even if you don't live within D2 boundaries??? Is it also true that this is and option in D3?
Oh I definitely think it is for real. Only problem I see is that it is going to cost an arm and a leg to get in. $20 for sub-district fee, $20 for District fee, and a $50 late entry fee, for a grand total of $90 to wrestle D2. I don't know how big team bandidos will be, but I doubt many girls in D2 will need to worry about getting kissed by them.
So if was a HS kid in D2. Sitting around the house for a week or so doing nothing. Then I decide, "I change my mind. I do want to wrestle some more to stay in shape for freestyle. Maybe I should checking with my old kids club coach. I'll go talk to him at practice on Monday the 17th."
That kid, to wrestle at districts would have to pay $20 for a tournament he didn't wrestle in (sub district)????
Why does a HS kid have to pay the $20 for Subs when signing up for Districts if he doesn't wrestle Subs? Greed?
Is there anything in the by-laws that would stop a HS kid in D4 from entering both the D4 and D2 tournament? What if a kid with 4 or less total kids in his bracket decided to run up to Goodland, make weight, then buzz over to the D2 district tournament and wrestle for the Bandidos? If he has 3 kids in his bracket in D4 he could place 3rd, then he could wrestle D2. Heck if he got 2nd at D2 he could wrestle himself at State.............
Well what's the verdict? Isn't the signup deadline for D2 HS division tonight?
An edict has been handed out stating that Team Bandidos is not allowed to sit with the cool kids in the lunch room.
You might not be able to sit with us in the lunch room, but you’re welcome to bring your team and sit in the bleachers and watch some great wrestling
FYI... Edict - an official order or proclamation issued by a person in authority.
Al, That is a very nice gesture. Will they be required to pay the $20 sub district fee to watch???
Not only will they NOT have to pay the $20 entry fee, we won’t even charge a gate fee like in other districts.
You D2 guys are alright. I don't care what everyone else says.
Curiosity has gotten the better of me...
Why does a HS kid have to pay the $20 for Subs when signing up for Districts if he doesn't wrestle Subs?
The host club of the district tournament collects the $20 sub district fee. Does the district host club then forward the $20 fee to the respective sub-district host clubs?
Funny how all these new folks are talking by themselves.
D3W past the funds through or will.
I talk to myself all the time and I haven't been wrong yet!!
I have been talking by myself for several years now. My parents learned me how.
Well since you two agree so much with two others on this board I am assuming you 4 are the same person.
Alguacil, Publius, and.....
Can anyone guess the other two names he is posting under?
I find this interesting....
Definition of ALGUACIL
1
: an officer of justice in Spain, formerly of high rank, now of inferior rank
2
: a sheriff or constable in Latin-American countries or in regions under Spanish influence
Publius (Federalist Papers), a pseudonym used by James Madison, Alexander Hamilton and John Jay in writing the Federalist Papers
Finally someone figured it out......:)
Now look up Bandidos, maybe the creator of this name had different intentions, other than what they were trying to make people believe.
Try lookng up Banditos. SHADY to say the least on a KIDS forum! You've had toooooooo much Tequila.
And to think it only took 14 days before someone else realized Team Bandidos was probably up to no good.
Now look up Bandidos, maybe the creator of this name had different intentions, other than what they were trying to make people believe.
??? They are either creating a youth biker gang or plan to open a Mexican cafe. It's hard to tell at this point.
Since you boys aren't accepting PM's.
Try Urban Dictionary. It's not hard to tell.
I think most following this thread took Team Bandidos for what it was. It was in large part a protest movement. All of the members of Team Bandidos are done carrying our signs for the year…instead we have traded them in and are lugging heavy mats around, setting up tables, mopping mats, and coaching our kids up for the greatest weekend of the year….the USAWKS Folkstyle State Tournament. I wish all of you good luck this weekend and safe travels the next couple days. We will have the lights on, scales set up, and coaches’ bands ready to hand out when you make it to Topeka!
A few things that I would like to point out due to the posts from the past couple days on this thread…
1) I have no idea who Publius or Algacil are, but I agree with a lot of what they have said on this topic. However, I also bet we could find plenty to disagree with as well. Seriously though I might have to call up Obama and ask him to check those IP addresses in his metadata warehouse before he hands all the data over to the cell phone companies to manage.
2) Team Bandidos were never “up to no good” and we are not a “biker gang” (sorry to disappoint you in-it-to-win-it, but Publius might be on to something most of us love Mexican Food)….we are the good guys maybe not quite as cool as the Avengers but we will often come out of retirement to fight the good fight.
3) Beeson, who is John Galt.
4) JCook the peanut gallery is often comical…but remember don’t feed the animals.
5) Publius…I am hoping that D2 does the right thing and either refund the $20 the HS wrestlers may have paid for the tournament they never wrestled or donates it to the Kansas College Wrestling Fund!
I can't believe I’m gonna say this, I agree with Bandidos. The money spent by the high school wrestlers that did not wrestle Subs should be donated to the Kansas College Wrestling Fund.
I recall about 146 wrestlers originally in the North D2 and about 126 in the South D2. The North only wrestled 45 and the South on wrestled 17. Lets just round it to an even 100 wrestlers in EACH Sub that didn't wrestle and paid the $20. That's about $2000 that should be donated from each Sub.
Now, let's find out how greedy everyone is or if it's about the kids.
1) I have no idea who Publius or Algacil are, but I agree with a lot of what they have said on this topic. However, I also bet we could find plenty to disagree with as well. Be careful what you ask for, the Amabo data may reveal the very close relationship between Bandidos and Publius. As I recall, the original group included Mr. Bandido (Mark Stanley) and a former Seaman wrestler who attends Newman University in Wichita (Steven Cooksley). It appears Alguacil is from Wichita, however I am sure it is just a coincidence.
Are you saying that some of these guys are using different names to post under? They are the same person, but use different names to have conversations with themselves and make it look like people agree with them?
Believe it or not it happens. It looks like some are even using 2 or 3 names. Kind of an alter ego.
Wow!!! I have so much to learn on how all this works. Thanks Beeson! And by the way I love your posts. You are so funny and witty. I like reading the forum but rarely post.
Welcome to the forum. Don't take this stuff to personal, oh just a little friendly advice, post your name if you post something that is questionable. Good luck.
Thanks. Check your PM, I sent you some information you might find useful.
Oh and Happy Birthday.
Beeson I think what Richard is suggesting is that is NOT what is happening! But I do think he is implying that there could only be "1" person in Wichita who agrees with our point of view and not his...
I am pretty sure I am on SAFE ground when I say you are BOTH way off base. But what I can now do is quit accusing people I know in my neck of the woods of being Alguacil because Richard just narrowed the search pattern.
The real question for you is ...who is John Galt? I stand by my previous statement...I really have no idea who either Publius or Alguacil are. So I wouldn't have any idea how close of a relationship they have to Team Bandidos....if any! I will point out that Cooksley was on spring break last week and could NOT have been posting from a Wichita IP address. ...look squirrel.
All of this Bandidos discussion has me confused. Does this mean I can stop boycotting table grapes or not?
