I realize this is a little early but what are the good match-ups for the mokan dual this year? Mo isn't as strong as it has been the past couple of years. Here is my projected mo lineup
120-Conor Brown - Oak Grove 1/1/1/1
126 Cameron Valdeveiz - Rockhurst 1/1/6/3
132 Colin Valdeveiz - Rockhurst 2/1/4
138 Wolfgang Clapper Grain Valley 2
David Berryman - Staley 4/3
145 Tristen Lineberry - Grain Valley 2
152 Hunter Shelton - Oak Park 2/2/1/2
160 Austin Purtle Smithville 1/4/3
170 Ottis Peeler Raytown South 1/2/4
182 Elias Vaoifi - Fort Osage 2/3
195 Jacob Boyd - Smithville 1/1/3
Sage Smart - Platte County 2
220 Nick Wily - Fort Osage 5
285 Dd Richardson - Liberty North 1/4
Cokeley Vs Shelton or Peeler would be better than Purtle
Lautt vs Boyd
Thanks for your thoughts/comments!
Lautt is not that big, but an excellent wrestler. Not sure he goes to 195. He wrestled 170 at the Stampede didn't he?
He is at 182 on Track for this year so the weight to make would be 190...maybe Boyd goes down to 190 and Lautt doesn't cut any for the matchup. Vaoifi is a strong kid and tough wrestler but Lautt looks like he is at a different level.
I heard Laut could easily make 170lbs and bumped up for the team.
He wrestled 170 a couple times this year
Sage Smart is a junior, you might be thinking of Casey Jumps who was a State Champ at 220.
Here is an attempt at the KS line-up, not sure how far out KS goes to get kids....knock some holes in it.
120-Christian Davis Sante Fe
126-Tanner Hitchcock Bonner Springs
132-Riley Alderman O. North
138-Tyler Flood O. North
145-Bryce Erickson Sante Fe
152-Nick Lucas Pratt
160-Sam Cokeley St. James
170 Daniel Butler Leavenworth
182-Clay Lautt St. James
195-Sean Singleton-Bonner Springs
220-Caleb Lewis-Bonner Springs
285-Hutchison-Pratt
Lol do you know where Pratt is?
nope, based on your response I am guessing not close
Oddly enough I do know where Sante Fe HS is...and I just googled Pratt...probably not going West of Wichita.
The boundary has always been 75 miles for Kansas and 50 for MO. That gave about the same amount of population to pull from.
With a 7lbs weight allowance:
113:Dylan Gowin
120:Tanner Hitchcock
126:Corbin Nirschl
126:Tyler Flood (certified and competed at a tournament at 120, weighed in at the state tournament while eating a breakfast burrito)
132:Riley Alderman
138:Colby Johnson
145:Bryce Erickson
152:Sammy Cokeley
160:Daniel Butler
170:Tyler Price
182:Clay Lautt
195:Chase Hartquist
220:Josh Cruz
285:Jake Hastings
285- Hutchinson is from Pittsburg not Pratt.

Why is this no longer being called the Metro Classic?
Why is this no longer being called the Metro Classic?
It is still the "Blue Chip Metro Classic" the MoKan Dual is in Southern Kansas.
