looks like some rankings will change at 113, 120, 126, 132 and 160

Even though Cullor lost at 160, he should still number 1. That’s his first on the season and was dominating the match until a late throw put him on his back.

Haha. Thats not how it works. A win is a win. Doesn't matter if he is up 14 and gets tossed and pinned. You wrestle every match to completion. The better wrestler doesnt always win.

It is true that a win is a win but when you said the better wrestler does not always win, are you acknowledge the better wrestler lost? I think the higher ranking would go to the better wrestler not necessarily the winner. Of course, it is speculative to proclaim him the better wrestler if he does not win the match. In this case the rankers will need to consider the whole body of work. The head to head win certainly is a big part of the whole body of work

That’s exactly my point. The better wrestler lost, yes. It happens. The rankings are based on the entire season, yes? That’s my whole point. He lost the match, but shouldn’t lose his spot in the rankings.

Ackerman is a high quality wrestler, there is no doubt about that. His losses are to Porsch, Radke, Schroeder, and Kopf. These are all high quality and next level wrestlers with the first two being All Class and the Kopf kid is a stud out of Colorado, Schroeder is in the mix this year after a really nice showing last year as a freshman and seems to be putting it all together. My point is that Cullor is a good wrester and so is Ackerman, Ackerman has seen tougher/better wrestlers in my opinion and has taken some losses in those matches. Now that they have gone head to head and Cullor lost, that will cost you points in the rankings and Leck will probably be the new #1? In the end rankings are subject to opinion and we all find out at the end of the year who is the best in their class and weight. It is fun to compare and talk about though, and the rankers do take it very serious and spend a lot of their time putting these together week after week for all of us that love this great sport of wrestling. #growthesport

All good points. That’s a murderers row and yes, much tougher than what Cullor has faced so far.
