Coaches, wrestlers:

Now that another season has come to a close, be sure to check for any wrestlers whose stats/results this season deserve inclusion in the Kansas State Wrestling Records list.

The top 20 performances for each stat are included. The list has been in the process of being updated for the last several years.

If you have a statistical performance that should be included, please post here or email to:

kharris@usd348.com

If any wrestler has broken a state record, he will be honored at the "Senior Classic" dual on Thursday, March 24, at the Topeka Expocenter.

Thanks,
Kit Harris
KWCA President

Curtis Chenoweth tied the State Career Takedown record of 533 and had 243 of those takedowns this year, second most in state history.

I would be happy to update the state records with Curtis's takedown stats, however, I feel we need to go on more than an anonymous post on this forum. Please have Curtis's coach contact me to verify.

Thanks,
Kit Harris

Roy Oser has the Coaches record for most weight gained in a season.

I believe Coach Vogel has the most emergency room visits in a single season.

2 times in one season visiting the ER is more than enough.

I know the Wichita Classic is not a sanctioned event, but if were, yesterday the record would have been broken for most people leaving on a stretcher, 8 that I counted for 1 day.
