whos gonna be the tuff ones at 215 and 275. Never see much talk about these classes.
Bedore from goodland has to be a favorite in 4a at either 215 or heavyweight. Also in 321a look for sprigg from norton.
Bedore will likley be at 275 - is gaining weight for a college football career.
Had heard that Lewis from Ulysses is dropping to 215, but don't know whether that is true. He should be poised for another fine season, regardless of weight class, after earning the 4A 275 pound title a year ago.
Sprigg will definately be tough. And Ellis' Ryan Honas will be back to defend his title.
Also look for Horinek from Atwood to have a good season too, as he will likely be at 275 this season. He only had two losses last season en route to his 215 pound title and both were to Bedore.
6A wise...BVNW's Garret Jones could be a favorite for the state title at 275. If im not mistaken every heavy that placed in 03 graduated expect for Jones. He took 6th.
If Bedore goes 275, and Lewis stays at 275 then it will be very interesting at the Hays tourny with Honas, Lewis, and Bedore all at Hwt. And it is my guess that Bedore does go to 275 seen him the other day and he was weighing over 250 and very lean no fat.
Any underclassman likely to make a dent in the competition or will be pretty tough.
Any underclassman likely to make a dent in the competition or will be pretty tough. heard 4-a had some tough competition
If Lewis and Bedore are both at 275 they could meet up in Goodland at the Holiday Classic the last weekend of competition before Christmas.
If Bedore and Lewis do meet (and I don't doubt that they will) I would deffinately give Bedore the upper hand. I have wrestled both, and Bedore completely man-handled me both times, while I beat Lewis with a sprained ankle. Taking nothing away from Lewis, he is much improved since I faced him, I think Bedore would win easily.
must leave Tad Greer in the mix a 275 only person to really compete with Bedore last year
has also bulked up for football
