If you got em, could you share em, thanks!!
I know Manhattan took fifth due to injuries and sickness.
Lyons won the 189 wt class
Manhattan wasn't good because 5 wrestlers either weren't there or got injured. How about Bubba @ 103 filling in for Bingham and taking 2nd.
Does anyone know why Zachary from Salina South injury defaulted in the finals at 171 without wrestling?
SS won the tourney by about 10
Emp was second
JC was third
The usual SS kids won.
Frandin, JC won over Hernadz (sp) CMT
CMT heavy over JC heavy
171 defaulted due to an injury, the same thing happened at 160 -- no final match was wrestled in both cases the JC kids went out and simply had their hands raised.
McComrick destroyed Herrea in the final. It was something like 12-4 I think. Mc just man-handled herrea. It wasn't even close.
some upsets. Manhatten had 4 seeded kids who did not place. Duffy S. C. got beat out at 275.
Why did some of the Emporia fans boo McCormick when they announced he won? I know it wasn't the whole section, but it was pretty poor sportsmanship from a usually classy bunch. Anyone know what happened to envoke that reaction? (I was napping during the match, so I don't know if McCormick did something to anger them.)
Lyons got lucky dont get me wrong he is a great wrestler but mcgovern from free state just ran out of gas and gave him the match. Tony Hernandez did the same thing. He got screwed in his match he had his kid pinned in the first period but the ref said he slipped and had an illegal headlock which was bull and the kid ended up beatin him in overtime 9-7 The match also cost KMC a third place finish
How is running your opponent out of gas getting LUCKY????
Lyons was just as gassed if mcgovern had just a little bit more experience he would of beat him. I wrestled mcgovern last year and he surprised me because he got a lot better but lyons didnt really impress me all that much hes a good wrestler i just think he got lucky.
yea, i guess your right, lyons placed third in state last year at 215(lost to staab of plainville) won kids State last year, and is 20 something and 1 this year(2 pt. loss to pingelton of mill valley, who is undefeated) guess he is not very impressive and pretty dang LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lyons was winning pretty much the whole match, until he gave up an escape or reversal at the very end of regulation. After that, he took McGovern down in OT. Hardly luck, my good man.
And what happened to Kyle Frank from Free State? Is he hurt?
Ltons and McGovern also wrestled in the finals at Basehor and Lyons won convincingly. Both are outstanding.
171-Zackary was sick and that is why he didn't wrestle in the finals.
How come Hernandez wasn't wrestling 189 like he has earlier this year?
I would say that Tony Hernandez is wrestling 215 because he has a much better shot at placing or winning state there than he does at 189. Just an observation.
Did Kosko and Johnson wrestle each other?
Johnson was out with an injury. Don't know what it was but Prant had a pretty good description of it. I believe it involved a truck load of sand and ...
did anyone elce notice how slick the mat for third and forth was it was terrible
The reason for the mat being so bad was that the J.C. kids that were cleaning the mats used one gallon of cleaner. It caused a thick film of oil to form on the mat. And until the 145-weight class did the refs let the wrestlers clean of their hands.
brett lane i think u should not talk cause we all know that zachary has herpys all over his body so just dont talk cause its pissing me off
Brett-
Have you and Hultine wrestled? I don't think i've seen either of you guys all year yet we are in the same league. While i'm on the subject, who have you wrestled that has impressed you?
Good luck at league.
Chicken feed---you have no idea what you are talking about. The oficials have checked him, doctors have checked him and he is clear, no lies. Crawl back in your hole where you came from.
Yes Hultine and I have wrestled. We wrestled at the LFS/LHS dual last Tuesday. I beat him, but it was tough. I had the flu the past week but beat him in 2OT. As for Kosko, I beat him by 3 for 3rd @ Junction City.
As for guys that have impressed me...
Ibarra-kicked my a$$ in finals of BVNW.
Johnson-I was in the ground when we wrestled, so I think I'd do better the second time around.
Pietrzyk from Salina South-He pinned Johnson and me. He's a stud. 5A though, thankfully.
That's about it. Good Luck to you also.
PS-Who are you?
