I'm gonna be wrestling 189 for Hill City., Marcus Nutting that is, and I think Justin Hall is for Stockton.

i'm just sayin what Pursel told me he was wrestling, i could be wrong...

My bet is that Spears wants to play football somewhere and they are gonna want him to keep weight on, so I think he'll wrestle 215.

If Pursel is 189 he's the odds on fav to win State.

Pursel will be at 189. He and Blake Alexander are switching from last yr. Pursel has gotten alot bigger and Alexander still weighs about 180 or so. Both will be tough.

Have you seen Oskie's team this year? They're going to have a fair amount of people go to state.

Yeah Mike, you're gonna be great this year Hey when's Ty comin back and is Andy doing good in his spot? Just curious. I never do remember to ask you these things at school...
Posted By: BlindSeer Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/05/04 12:34 AM
Sorry I'm getting back on the original subject :p ,but so far Hayes-135 from Oskie and Peterson-125 from Oskie are undefeated and there's a pretty good Effingham 112er this year... I doubt he'll place in state though.

Jeff Peterson is at 125 in 3a this year and is on a streak to state victory. This weekend he'll be at onaga but today at horton vs. sabetha let me know whos all at 125
Posted By: We_The_Cocks Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/08/04 03:21 AM
Hey, Malay, can I throw you? Also congrats on the championship...did you get good from last year or was it just a weak 189 bracket?
Posted By: KAS Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/09/04 01:16 AM
Jeff Peterson - good luck with Tyler Baker this year at state, cause you're gonna need it if you plan on beating him
Posted By: Boogy Man Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/09/04 02:31 AM
How come I don't see Simon Orozco (Ellsworth)included anywhere in the rankings, or even mentioned as a stud? Someone is sleeping. Go get'em Simon!!!
Posted By: Michael Malay Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/09/04 02:56 AM
simon is a stud. he is one of the quickest wreslters ive ever seen. ryan- ive gooten alot better from last year. and if i wouldnt have caught the kid it would have been alot better match.
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/09/04 03:05 AM
imagine that, michael caught someone to win....kidding michael, but you did pretty well but on the simon orozco note, he's extremely quick and strong, he outta be a very good match for weatherbee if he's at 130 again, was very tough last year when i wrestled him...of course i got pinned, that's what all bad kids do...
Posted By: nothinghard Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/13/04 03:18 PM
Tyler Baker isn't ready for me. But I am well prepared. So let him bring it on
Posted By: Boogy Man Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/13/04 06:23 PM
The topic here is Studs in 3-2-1a, not stubs! Just kidding. I guess when I see someone talk on themselves, I just feel compelled to reply.
Posted By: nothinghard Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/13/04 08:33 PM
so who exactly is this simon character seems like he's a stud what weight did he wrestle last year and don't worry about pyle this year at 130 he took a while to pin our oskie guy barnes at 130 and he's not that good. And what's the deal with daniel utley jumping up to 140
Posted By: KAS Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/13/04 10:44 PM
I remember jeff peterson getting beat by Pyle last season?? thought you said Pyle wasn't that good?
Posted By: nothinghard Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/14/04 12:30 AM
well i was winning at state 2-1 until the third period. Then i chose down and thats where me mistake was he messed me up but he's at a heavier weight than he can handle this year. but we'll see what happens

Peterson i myself do not know you, but you don't make a mistake in the state tournament, apparently a better kid got the better of you, enough said, i'd quit talking now while you still can, baker will take the rest out of you, remeber he has a state title to prove his worth do you?
Posted By: Michael Malay Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/14/04 01:47 AM
if im not mistaken the kid that got the better end of him was olson from trego 8-1
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/14/04 03:05 AM
Talk all you want now Jeff, i've got a feeling that Baker, Spaeny, Boone, Barth, & Calhoon will be waiting for you....they aren't running their mouth, their running for glory....you can talk now but as soon as you step into western kansas good luck, by the way, Spaeny got beat by David William, 2 time SQ..he missed state last year b/c he was in the toughest 119# regional last year, although that is debatable, and he did beat Spaeny now, they've wrestled many times in the past couple years and it's basically been very close all those times, and he's not a "nobody" he's one of the better 125's around, Spaeny isn't a push over, i'll bet he eats you for lunch, as for the people that beat you last year, it was Olson from Wakeeney (8-1 Loss for you) and Pyle from Sabetha (15-2 Loss for you), and you're good? Olson's a stud and i'm not sure about Pyle....you've got some work to do if you think you're gonna walk all over the 125lbs. 321A bracket....i'd stop talking now and start training.........

In case you want to track his path to nowhere here's his bracket last year....

were you referring to leading in the Pyle match 2-1? If so, you were outscored 14-1 in the 3rd period? OUCH!

well guys i'm just goning to let what happens happen until state comes along. So whos the guy from russel that beat spaney and is he a returning state qualifier or something
Posted By: BlindSeer Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/14/04 05:08 PM
I'd like to add that Jeff Peterson is fairly good.... I've seen him wrestle. So far he IS undefeated ,but honestly he hasn't seen much competition yet. I would predict he gets top 4 at state.
Posted By: nothinghard Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/14/04 08:15 PM
When i win the holton tournament that will show how good i really am. Because their are tons of school that will be there like HOLTON, TOPEKA SEAMAN,  TONGANOXIE,   PERRY LECOMPTON,   LABETTE CO,   LANSING, OSKALOOSA, OSAWATOMIE, WICHITA EAST, ROCK CREEK, WICHITA SOUTHEAST,
PLEASANT RIDGE, MISSION VALLEY. So when that's over with than what cause seaman may not have any one good at 25 this year cause wasson my good man is at 19 i came close to beating him my sophmore year. me and him go way back

Sounds like you better pack a lunch Peterson
Posted By: Dave Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/15/04 03:00 AM
Ummm.... i am the one who beat spaeney and he is really tough. I went to state my freshman and sophmore year. Last year i lost to the guy who got Third in state and Olson 2-1. I feel that u will have ur hands full with spaeney this weekend.

if you were directing toward me, you check it out.

Peterson said he was ahead 2-1 going in to the 3rd period. I asked if that was against Pyle, and if so did that mean he was outscored 14-1 in the third period.

Being Jason Pyle's coach I justed wanted to clarify something..the match against Barnes that Mr. Peterson is refering to was a takedown and a won by a pin after one minute and nine seconds in the first period..Mr. Peterson you are good but the orginal post was studs in 3-2-1 A and no one mentioned Allyn Plattner at 215..he lost to Strahm from Holton (4A runner-up) 3-2last night and had a reality check..look out... also Jayme Striet and Jonathan Rausch will be good this year and Pyle is undefeated and has not been scored upon yet with a 9-0 record. Sabetha 50 Osakloosa 30 in our dual
Posted By: bigkneepads#4 Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/18/04 05:45 AM
plattner pup up a better fight against horrenick in the finals than anybody not from sabetha expected my money is on him this year

Malay, I tore the miniscous (or however you spell it) in my AC Joint (in my shoulder) and i'm done till after Christmas sometime. I was maxing out my bench in weights class, I had 265 on and as I was bringing it back up my shoulder popped and I was done fore. I've been praticing light the last few days but nothing heavy.

What are you talking about Boach Crown? Can he play the harmonica underwater or something? Or did he just get tired of being ranked high and then being disappointed at state?
Posted By: Coach Brown Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/19/04 04:49 PM
Dear Chubs..I do not know what he was ranked or how he did at State (I was coaching in 6A last year)there are people who get burnt out and I think that is the situation...he just doesn't want to wrestle..plain and simple..as far as underwater harmonica I will ask him tomorrow in class...

Jeff Peterson is at 125 he is 15-0 right now
Posted By: lil_sharpe_007 Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/21/04 04:20 AM
i think Levi Younkin and Kelly Younkin from oakley have a pretty good chance this year.....and Tate Weatherbee from TMP
Posted By: mike fairleigh Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/21/04 11:02 AM
Seems like anyone in a Norton uniform this year is likely to be pretty tough.. Youngkins and Tait are good calls as well. Early both Nightengale and Burns from Cimmaron look pretty impressive, and Dylan Lloyd and several of the other St. Francis guys are shaping up nicely. also Baker and Shamberger for Hoxie will be in the mix at the end, and I can't help but think they will have at least 2 or 3 of their teammates in the State competition. I am not ruling out anyone from the east, Figure Burtin and a couple of West Elk guys will be back, and Hejny from hosington, and the Fosters. I haven't seen any of the east guys so can't say, but Norton is just gonna be a load for anyone.....
Posted By: QuittersRawesome Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/21/04 04:20 PM
The new freshman at 103 this year from Lyons "Kepka" this kid looks pretty tough, he's not muscular, but quick and knows his stuff, who will be his match-ups for this season?
Posted By: Buck52Wrestler Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/21/04 09:31 PM
Are Younkin and Weatherbee at the same weight this year?
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/21/04 10:26 PM
If Younkin is at 130 then yes, if they are will weatherbee the runner up for a third straight year?
Posted By: towel boy Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/22/04 01:28 AM
yea right kepka isnt very good. that ryan kid from russell would beat him in another match up guaranteed
Posted By: QuittersRawesome Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/22/04 05:35 PM
whatever towely we'll see, when dane walks away with another first place, you'll feel like an idiot
Posted By: lil_sharpe_007 Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/23/04 07:05 PM
i think Levi Younkin is at 135 this year
Posted By: matside Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/24/04 12:02 AM
No disrespect to the Ryan kid from Russell (he is a solid wrestler), but just stating facts. Kepka beat Ryan 11-0 @ Osborne for 3rd and then @ Minneapolis Kepka was leading 7-0 when he pinned Ryan in the first period.
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/24/04 12:46 AM
Just to correct your post concerning my brother Levy, he beat him 11-0 @ osborne for 3rd, but was only up 4-3 at minneapolis before gaining the win by fall, he was actually behind going into the 2nd period, but yes he did win both matches
Posted By: matside Re: Studs In 3-2--1a - 12/24/04 05:06 AM
Sorry about that. I could be wrong on the score of the match in Minn. Thanks for the correction B.W. I know Lyons and Russell hook up a few more times this season, so I'm sure there will be more matches between these two tough wrestlers.
