Does anyone know how these kids are doing?
GOODLAND — Michael John Klinge, 14, was killed early Sunday and four others were injured in a rollover crash east of Goodland.
Brett Bahe, 16, the driver of the Dodge SUV, and Ashley Christians, 14, were taken to a Denver hospital, said Sherman County Sheriff Doug Whitson.
He said Alison Milke, 15, was taken to Goodland Regional Medical Center and released Monday. Allen Normandin, 14, was treated at the hospital in Goodland.
Brett was flown to Denver to make sure no nerve damage had occurred from a deep laceration that he suffered to his face. Ohterwise his injuries are not life-threatening, apparently. My prayers go out to ho and his family, as well as the other young people involved.

A 1999 Dodge Durango driven by Brett Bahe, 16, was heading east when it went out of control and rolled at least twice, Whitson said. Passengers Ashley J. Christians, 14, and Klinge were ejected from the vehicle, as was Bahe. None of the youths was wearing a seat belt, the sheriff said.
Bahe, son of Randy and Kathy Bahe, was treated at Goodland Regional Medical Center and then taken by ambulance to St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver. He was listed Monday in fair condition.
Bahe, a sophomore, was on the wrestling team as a freshman, winning a trip to the state championships at 103 pounds. He placed fourth. His father coaches the wrestling team and his brothers have been known as champion wrestlers.
I was super worried when I heard the news as I'm sure we all were. I talked today with a gal that works for the Chapman News Paper and is an alumn of Goodland. Her sister is in the same class with the young man who passed away. She said that upon calling back home to Goodland she found out the following:
Brett has a huge gash from his mouth to ear and
is having plastic surgery. one of the girls broke her
arm.
Please keep these individuals and their families in your prayers as they attempt to recover from this tragic accident.
If any of our youth read this, let this be another example of the importance of wearing your seatbelt.
i don't know brett or any of the others personally but i have watched brett wrestle through kids wrestling and at the high school level last year.....i will be praying for the families and friends of the kids who were involved in the accident.....like richared said always wear ur seatbealt not matter how old u r whether ur my age(16) or like 46 still wear ur seat bealt they save ur life!!!!!!!!!
The family should know that there are many of us praying for Brett and the families of all of those involved, especially the young man Michael Klinge who lost his life. I have strictly instructed my children that they never ride in a vehicle without wearing a seatbelt, even as a passanger. A part of that is loosing my father in a car crash when he wasn't wearing his seat belt. This is a hard lesson but one that we can't remind our loved ones about enough.
This is lil_sharpe's sister and I would just like to say that I'm like best friends with Michael Kilnge's cousin and I want everyone to know that I'm praying for everyone and I hope Brett comes home safely
hey guys it's lil_sharpe's siter again. i just heard how brett and the other girl in the wreck are doing. they were both at the funeral of Michael Kilnge today. Brett looks pretty good i guess, had to have plastic suregery on his face and two boys carried him from place to place basically, but he looked good. and the girl that was also thrown from the car was at the funeral too, in a wheel chair but seemed to be doing ok, considering the circumstances.
Bahe's, Klinge's and other families my thoughts and prayers are with you always as you are going through this rough time!
I am sorry to hear that, losing someone that young is never a good thing. My thoughts go out to that young man's family, and to Mr. Bahe I wish you a speady recovery.
My heart and Prayers go out to these families. Good Luck, take your time healing Brett. God Bless Michael Klinge's family and all his friends. I will miss him. I only knew him briefly but grew quite fond of this young man. He went to Cadet duals with us as our extra 84 pounder, we just knew him as the Goodland Kid on our track across Kansas last year. When we finally got to Goodland, I met him and thought he had such a cute innocent smile. You know them 84 pounders, there so small. He ended up not getting to wrestle because he was still a schoolboy, not old enough for Cadets. I had forgot to ask about his age and we were last minute looking for an 84 pounder. He could have went back with some other families but stayed the whole week watching and helping. I had talked to him several times that week pumping him up telling him I could not wait till next year when he would be on the team and get his chance. He really seemed to be a good kid who had a good time that week. I will miss him but never forget "The Goodland Kid", Michael Klinge.
Coach Peterman
brett is wrestling this year even after the crash and is undefeated. i had moved from goodland this summer to russell and new all of them very well. Good Luck this year Brett
glad to hear that brett is wrestling this year, really shows some courage, something to be learned by all of us
the only difference i saw in brett's wrestling at the goodland holiday classic was the face mask he was wearing. i'm very impressed that he is still able to wrestle like he always has. best of luck to ya brett!
I was glad to see Brett wrestling so quick at the first meet of the Season for us which was at Sainty....and as always he has done very good and i'm sure he will continue to do so as the year progresses.......GOOD LUCK BRETT!!!
Keep it up Brett, look forward to seeing you down the road. Nate says hey by the way.
