do you think there will be any freshman state champs this year
Posted By: ybsmall Re: freshman champs - 01/13/05 07:09 PM
Going out on a limb but, Elijah Madison from Salina Central 275.
Posted By: bulldog Re: freshman champs - 01/13/05 07:27 PM
Pete Eck 140 looks pretty tough. He could challenge Cole Garcia.
Posted By: Lee Re: freshman champs - 01/13/05 07:35 PM
No offense to Eck, but i think if u rough him up a while than u have a pretty good shot at beating him.
Posted By: Lee Re: freshman champs - 01/13/05 07:35 PM
Scott your looking pretty good this year. You might just win state at this pace.
Posted By: lmitchell275 Re: freshman champs - 01/13/05 10:22 PM
I haven't seen Madison wrestle yet, but do you think he will be able to beat Payne?
Posted By: XGHSWC Re: freshman champs - 01/14/05 12:19 AM
I think he can, but that does not mean that he will. This Madison kid is unbelievable. He put Sprigg on his back and almost pinned him. I watched him mop up the competition at the Emporia tournament.
We will see.

Is that why he won Kid's State at 14u 205 in 2004?

Is Aldon Isenberg wrestling as a freshman this year?
Posted By: SFoster Re: freshman champs - 01/14/05 01:46 AM
Elijah and my son Steven have been good friends from the time that Steven was in third grade. Elijah has always been one grade below Steven. Elijah has a bad birthday for wrestling (July I think) and consequently he is always moving in age with Steven but has "ALWAYS" been one grade behind him. At the USAW National events Elijah is always a year behind Steven because of this birthdate issue. Steven's birthday is in December.
Elijah to my knowledge is not a "redshirt freshman" as "keep it real 89" has stated.

Aldon Isenberg is wrestling at 125. I believe he has only lost once.
Posted By: KSGRM Re: freshman champs - 01/15/05 03:34 AM
Mitch Arnold from BC is in the finals at Newton.

i dont really think that madison could beat tyler jessen madison is a really talented wrestler but tyler is just like there arent words to describe him hes kinda like a mini moco
Posted By: RichardDSalyer Re: freshman champs - 01/15/05 09:25 AM
Tyler Jessen from Wichita Northwest High School is in 6A classification while Elijah Madison from Salina Central is 5A. The two will not wrestle each other at their respective KSHSAA State Tournaments.

Do you meen they won't wrestle each other Richard?
Posted By: vinsonr Re: freshman champs - 01/16/05 03:51 AM

arnold is a kid that will be turning heads for the next 4 years man what a match he wrestled tonight
Posted By: Mike Church Sr. Re: freshman champs - 01/16/05 04:05 AM
Arnold was my pick for the next 4x state champ this summer before school even started. This kid is a winner.
Posted By: vinsonr Re: freshman champs - 01/16/05 04:12 AM
Will Arnold and Scott Elliot meet up this year.

I agree, Mitch Arnold was in my bracket in kids club and he is one heck of a wrestler. He's someone to watch through highschool.
Posted By: bystander Re: freshman champs - 01/17/05 10:14 PM
Any freshmen in the finals at the Bobcat besides Eck and Knoblet? -- Arellano, Garden City. Good job to these gentlemen.
Posted By: big_boy Re: freshman champs - 01/19/05 03:39 PM
Arnold has a seriously good chance at taking state
Posted By: Tiltin Fatties 4 Three Re: freshman champs - 01/20/05 01:39 AM
Arnold is my pick to win a state title as a freshman. He's looked like a stud all year, and i've been really impressed to see him. I think in all honesty the only way that he won't be a state champ this year is if one of the studs from 130 bumb up to stay away from Baldridge.

kelly wont be a 4 timer but hell do good
Posted By: Justin Wiscombe171 Re: freshman champs - 01/20/05 02:02 AM
Kevin Callahan from Baldwin has not got much recognition. But I have got the chance to watch him growing up and a little this year and he looks really tough!

Don 't count Romero Cotton out. Romero gave Danny Grater all that he wanted. Who in 6A at 145 is better ?
Posted By: sport fan Re: freshman champs - 01/24/05 02:44 AM
MY VOTE IS FOR ROMERO COTTON, HE IS LOOKING REALLY GOOD THIS YEAR
Posted By: Bronco Wrestler Re: freshman champs - 01/24/05 02:47 AM
Eligiah Madison will win it at 275, i think he may possibly be a 4 timer, the first ever 4 time HeavyWeight, your thoughts?
Posted By: Michael Malay Re: freshman champs - 01/24/05 03:02 AM
