What wrestlers
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Who is going to be good at 103 and 112 in 321a - 12/12/02 01:43 AM
clay madden 103 from norton, 4time state champion when he is done.
Madden, Norton; Farber, Hoxie; Owings, Plainville

all looked respectable in the Hoxie Invite
Madden isn't really that great...i mean he's good but not 4 time state champion good. i wrestled him this past year and beat him 11-0. just thought i'd let you know....i dont have nothing against him or ne thing its just i dont think he'll be a 4 timer....
well i shouldnt have said that he wouldnt be a 4 time stat champion because i really dont know much about 321 a state so maybe he could be i dont know...
ross devoe will win state
yep, he will....in 4a
Hey russell wrestler, does your team go to the belleville invitational? and it will be matt warta from ellsworth and levi younkin again from oakley, i will be at 112 next week, how much weight are you cuttin?
Dylan Loyd from St. Francis will be a power house at 112..and I am not sure what weight Levi Younkin is at from Oakley..but he will do very well too
levi younkin is 112, he is ranked 2nd and has already wrestled at a tourney at 112, not to be bragging or anything, because that is not the way i am, but i think i have a pretty good chance at 112, and i am excited to wrestle matt warta because he is the returning state champion, i have not wrestled yet because in cross country i fractured my leg and missed weight this past weekend by one pound because i am cutting from 128
To: wrestling112
Warta got lucky last year (8-7) over the Oakley dude - Loyd from Sainty will likely be Champ
103 Georg Sabetha

Hurt in Cross Country??
Cutting Weight??
Good Luck Cry Baby
Well.. i wouldnt say he got lucky, he was just better at that moment in time, i did as you probably did too watch that match and it was very close and he wont fairly. And i'm sure that those two wrestlers are good, and def state competetors, but they are not going to dominate the state tournament
I aint cryin.. i was talking to russell wrestler because i would have wrestled him this past weekend at a tournament, so keep ya mouth shut unless you know what is going on, and if your boy from St. Francis is so good why aint he ranked any higher, i hope i have him first round at state.
To dalefish: first off where the hell do you ever getta gay name like that, and second you can run your mouth but are you even any good at wrestling
The NWKL is absolutely stacked at 112 this year. Younkin from Oakley, Lloyd a freshman from St. Francis and Schamberger a freshman from Hoxie are all are all top notch. Throw in Warta and it'll be a real dog fight at state.

It'd be kind of nice to have a name to go along with your predictions, so we can watch for you in what could be one of the more competitive brackets in Hays this February.
I'm not really a top notch wrestler, and i dont yet know if i am a State competitor yet so i am not giving out my name, maybe if i get some wins under my belt, but my coach's haven't talked to me a little, and they where trying to convince me to make the drop from 130 to 112, and they said that i could easily be a state placer, so i have yet to wrestle at 112, this weekend i will get my first big taste at one of our bigger wrestling tourney's of the year at the crossroads invite(belleville) this weekend. By the way, do you really think 112 is one of the more competitive weight classes this season?
Warta's and Younkin's success are well documented.

I have yet to see Lloyd compete in high school, but do know he had an outstanding jr high career at Sainty plus he has a some pretty good family tradition (of course most everyone born and raised in Sainty does!)

All Schamberger did was go undefeated at the Colby dual tournament - with wins over Ty Gennette of Concordia (ranked 3rd @ 4A 103) and Dusty Briggs of Garden City (ranked 2nd @ 6A 112). Schamberger has two losses on the year with both being to Younkin (7-1 at the Hoxie Invite and 6-2 at Thursday's Hoxie/Oakley dual).

Then you have Gardner of Wellsville and Miller of Onaga having both won state medals in prior years and both currently ranked at 112.

So yes, I do feel that 112 is pretty competitive this year.
I would have to agree with you on all of the other wrestlers, but miller of onaga is definitly have to overrated.. first off i watched him wrestle last year at regionals against my fellow teammate, and he stalled as much as possible and never got dinged for it, and my friend lost i think 8-6, and i beat my tear up my teammate in practice all the time, but you could say that its that little thing that everyone wrestles differently against everyone else, but 2 weeeknds ago at a wrestling tournament i saw miller wrestle tankersly(not reallly anyone good) from lincoln and tankersly dominated the match through period one and two but pulled a dumb head throw and got stuck. and i throw tankersly around all the time.. and like i said i'm not awesome at all. so i really think miller should not be ranked, until he proves himself again, he'll be at my regionals
I guess you kind of gave away your identity, if you were in the same regional with onaga last year and are again this year, since Onaga changed regionals this year. Son you are not in Millers class. Yes, he wasn't really ready for the move to 112 last year, after placing at state the year before, but he is physical enough this year.
Yes i am in his class, i bet i could take him to school, and yes i know he changed regionals so did we, we usually go to the regionals with the same people every year, but for some reason we changed we are going to rock creek, every team in our league is going to phillipsburg, cept us. i think he'll do worse this year than he did last year
TO: Wrestler112
We dont go to bellville and i am cuttin about 7 pounds.
To:wrestler112
do you go to the norton or oberlin tournement.
No i dont go to norton or oberlin.. what weightclass are you at???
TO Kolat112
i am at 112
do you go to the Sr. Prarie Classic
i think younkin has a good chance to win at 112 he could have easily won last year De Voe will win it in 4a
here is the low down on the kid from st.francis.. he is 10-0 pinned everyone but 2 of his kids beat like 2 state places in Colordo last week but that is not saying much cuz the wrestling up there sucks. but he is good and to kolat112 who are u and where are u from and are u even ranked. i bet if u and Devo wrestle he will kill u
i know russell has got a 103 pounder thats looking pretty good he won the osborne and minneapolis tourney. he might be one to watch.
i think in 1 2 3a there r NO 103 pounders
Lloyd or Younkin will win 112.
103 will be Farber from hoxie.
To Kolat 112:
I'm surprised that your mommy let's you wrestle. You Know that in wrestling, you could get a nose bleed. I will wager that your next whining excuse will be that you had the flu.
PS. being called gay from someone (dud compared to stud) like you, I take that as a compliment. At least at one point you admitted that you didn't know if you were a contender for state. You are right, I never won a State Championship. I did not get to wrestle (they did not have it at my high school or college) until I was in the Army. For your information I was at least average. But if I didn't make weight I wrestled at the next Higher weight - didn't cry about it.
PS PS:If you listen to Mr. Les Brown you might learn something but with your cry baby attitude, I seriously doubt it.
By the way what is your record right now, and who have your wrestled (name, school, record). And I really do hope you make it past your regional - I want to know what you got - not got
Stating that Madden from Norton will be a 4 time state champion definitely puts a lot of pressure on a freshman and really is not fair. A lot can happen, (weight gain, injury, etc.) Yes, Madden will be the state champ this year at 103 in 1-2-3A providing he stays healthy. He easily and handily beat Farber in the Hoxie Invitational and is 11-0 right now. He has strong wrestling blood lines and is a 3rd generation Madden wrestler from Norton. His father was a state champion in 1970, his grandfather was a state placer in 1942, and his uncle was a state placer in 1974. This kid is one to watch in 1-2-3A.
amen to that
hey anyone know who the blue valley northwest 112 pounder is
