Through the regional pairings for this season, looks like the teams are a little more seperated compared to last season. And since regionals is only a week and a half away.
I dont care about what place they get, but who will be the top 4 to come out of each regionals?(Colby, Concordia,Fort Scott, and Rose Hill) And what teams will place in the top 3 at each?
I going out on a limb and will guess that Abilene, Clay Center, and Santa Fe Trail will be the top 3 at the Concordia Regional.
it will probably be douglass, rose hill, and el dorado at rose hill. i know what you are thinking and yes i said el dorado. we have a great tournament team and i feel that we can do some damage to the regional teams and prolly finish in the top 3.
I think you forgot a team that is pretty solid. That Columbus team should be in the mix. Looked pretty good at the Rose Hill tournament last weekend and I would venture to say that tournament was a little tougher than the regional at Rose Hill.

Douglass won the Circle Tournament...
Columbus won the Rose Hill Tournament...
Which feat is more impressive?
Columbus and Douglass were both at the Augusta Tournament
From the Colby regional, in no particular order, Scott City, Andale, and Goodland. All have solid teams or somewhat solid teams this year.
Ok, we have heard who we think will be the top teams from the regionals, but what about the kids. Who will be the lucky 16 from each weight class that we see on the mats in Witchita?

You are kidding right? Circle is a very weak tourny. Even though Rose Hill was not as tough as usual, it is still a far cry better than Circle.

Let me answer my own question: Winning the Rose Hill Tourney is WAAAAY more impressive than winning the Circle Tourney.
Now I'm not very smart when it comes to wrestling but the top four at Rose Hill to me appears to be Columbus, Douglass, Augusta, and Wellington in that order.
This regional will not be close though. I am in no way in love with Columbus, but they will walk through this regional with at least 8 wrestlers in the finals.

I was wondering if anyone was going to mention Atchison's Dustin Bartlett at 160 -- he just beat Rush pretty badly at Silver Lake last week.
any body got any ideas of who will come out of the rose hill regional
Will has a shoulder injury hes tryin to take care of. We were at the Concordia dual tourney, and hurt it some how. He has been goin to pt ever since, and we will find out on wednesday wether he is able to wrestle for regionals!

LET ME MENTION SOMETHING ABOUT ATCHISON'S 160 LB DUSTIN BARTLETT...30-3 RECORD, 2 TIME STATE QUALIFIER, AND 5 FIRST PLACE TOURNEY FINISHES THIS YEAR. TWO LOSSES COMING FROM #1 RANKED 6A KELLERMAN OF LAWRENCE, AND ONE FROM VINTON, IA. ALSO, LOOK OUT FOR ATCHISON'S 119 LB NATHAN PRICE...A VERY SOUND ALL AROUND WRESTLER. LOOKING FOR BOTH WRESTLERS TO DO WELL AT REGIONALS CONSIDERING THEIR MAT TIME EXPEIENCE.

OKAY!!!!
I remeber when Atchison came to tough regional with all the NCKL teams and SFT. They had a handful of kids with records. Like Bartlett's and I was like man these guys are good. And after it was all said and done. They may have got like two through to state. I'm curious to see how they do based on the wrestlers they see during the year. But good luck to the Atchison wrestlers. Also 160 is a very tough wieght at the Con regional.
What happend to Nonamaker of Abilene (I always have to think of him being from Osborne to get his name). What is this new Abilene guy's background?

I'm not tryin to brag or anything...but i will come out of reigonals at Rosehill with a broken foot. i may be wrong but i dont think chad carter will, but thats my opinion
lol i dont know about that. Broken foot and still coming out of regionals easy? who do you think you are???
I thought you tore a couple of muscles or something like that. And I'm pretty sure that I saw Chad Carter do that to your foot at the Circle tournament, so I don't see how you'll make it.
Shippers did it last year, so anything is possible, all depends on heart and mindsight i guess, good luck to ya
Alex
thats what the trainer told me untill i went to the doctor... but ya james i will make it out easy!! and Chad didnt do anything!! i went to shoot and pushed off my foot and broke it myself...
Threepointbuck, your joking right??? Struble was winning 8-0 and more than likily would have tech falled carter. He messed up his foot while shooting in. Carter didnt have anything to do with it.
Yeah I am just joking, I like to give Mike a hard time. He's the only person that I've ever seen break his own foot by shooting. You'll never live that down Mike.
And just wondering, what did the doctor say?
ya, im tryin to get my doctor to release me so i can wrestle this weekend... i hate doctors!!
i broke the big bone that sticks out of the top of ur foot...dont know what its called. but ya, i broke it
I know what you mean, I had that problem last year. But he let me wrestle. I hope that yours will do the same for you. Just tell him whats up, and break a couple of thumbs if you have too.
ya i've thought about it!! lol...
so whats ur name...threepointbuck
Wouldn't you like to know. You should be able to figure it out pretty easily if you think about it. I'm trying to stay anonymous. Just read my posts, and if you can't figure it out e-mail me and I'll tell you.
Who do you think will make it out of colby at 119?
Mike Struble,
Why do you say that Chad won't make it out of your regional? There is Zahm, you, and ...who else? No offense, but it looks like a pretty weak regional as far as 152 goes. I haven't done a ton of research but...there doesn't look to be any tough competitors other than maybe Johns of Mulvane.
He may make it out but i dont want him too...
concordia looks to be a tought regionals...
Anyone have the seedings for the Colby Regional available online yet?
