103- Deshazer, WW
112- Harding, Win
119- Gardner, SH
125- Baldridge, Camp
130- Hulse, Turner
135- Wilderman, Pitt
140- Zouzas, SS
145- Schwerdt, SH
152- Jonas, KMC
160- Hart, SH
171- Steinmetz, Turn
189- Stockham, KMC
215- McGrew, AC
275- Duffy, SC
You might have a couple right- But I think you have some weights wrong.
What about Figge from KC Turner?
Can Baldrige beat out Knox at 125lbs.?
Not if Knox has his stuff that day. Although I saw Knox on the street the other day and he looked small. Is he as big as last year? Also, back to the original prediction made, I'm told that the McGrew kid graduated last year. Got another big boy to fill in?
Since West and Campus moved down to 5a, there is no way hulse will win state. my prediction is cornejo.
I doubt deshaser will win 103 5a. I heard he was pretty light and if you don't cut down from 110 for 103, you don't have a chance to win it. when your only 100 lbs. ten pounds makes alot of difference.
Don't count Trey Rein out from Great Bend though, he is a pretty good wrestler but lacked a little weight last year. If he can make 103 this year he will be the one to watch.
what about nathan payne? he only won state last year.
Paola is NOT listed as a 4A school. They are 5A with 505 students and are the smallest 5A school this year.
Don't confuse football, which are different.
deshazer will win 5a and he does weigh more than a hundred more like 110-15
DESHAZER WILL WILL 5A NOW AND IF YOU ALL DIDNT HEAR HE IS AN ALL AMERICAN AND THERE ISNT ANY OTHER PERSON IN 5A 103 THATS AND ALL AMERICAN SO DONT UNDER ESTIMATE THE MAN AND AS FOR T-BONE YOU STILL HAVE MY SUPERMAN SHIRT AND TECH-9 WHEN WILL I BE GETTIN THAT BACK?
so is paola 5a in wrestling? they were last year. did they change? if they are 5a again, i haev to pick nate payne to win at his weight, whatever that may be.
what weight will tim elliot be at this year???
From what I heard this summer Elliot will be going 103 again but im not sure if he can.
Hey Northern what weight are you wrestling at this year?
deshazer is not the only 5a 103lb in 5a all american seth metzler is also an all american, if he put on any weight he will be good
i dont know how you guys already know who is going to win thats why we wrestle the matches, im not downing anyone but dont just automatically say this one person is going to win, if that was the case whats the point of wreslting?
Don't forget about Bonner Springs, Donnie Sheppard, Chad Vandenberg, and the 112 pounder!
Bass at 215.
and who is bonners 112 pounder
I agree... Bonner does have a strong team this year. There 112 pounder last year was Myjestic Hickmon, but he might be at 103 this year... and their 112 pounder might be Erick Ratliff. He placed 5th at 103 last year and has potential to do well this year. They also have a few other wrestlers who may also do very well like Matt Middleton, Spencer Buck and mabye even Danny Gardner.
Does anyone out there know what kind of team Bishop Carroll will have this year?
I predict Figge at 160. Hart won't stand a chance.
Nick, Tim will probably be at 112 but might try 103 as the year goes on,planning on 112 for the Fall brawl hope to see you there ,and wish you the bestof luck on your first highschool season hard work pays off and I expect you'll be a major factor come state.
I don't know if Bishop Carroll can repeat but they will be competitive. They have four returning medalists: Brown (3rd at 112), Loos (6th at 119), Sponsel (6th at 160), and Sponsel (4th at 171). In addition they have two more Sponsels and a heavyweight who all had nearly undefeated records last year but were stuck behind state champions. They also have a strong freshman class led by Liam Kastor at 103. If he can get his weight up to 103 he is going to be very competitive.
With JV and kids records to go on that is a lot of speculation so I will withold predictions until we see how the new blood does on the varsity level. But the defending state champions should not be left out of the discussion.
What weight will Baldridge be at this year
103-Deshazer,WW
112-Gardner,SH
119-Knox,WW
125-Baldridge,HC
130-Cornejo,WW
135-Wilderman,PITT
140-Zousas,SS
145-Swanson,MCPH
152-Jonas,KMC
160-Steinmetz,TURNER
171-Payne,PAOLA
189-Richardson,AC
275-Bruce,AC
I think Steinmetz is going 189 or 171.
I believe Ty Richardson of Ark City, defending 189lb. State Champion, is back as a senior this year isn't he? He's got to be the pick to defend his title.
M-M your wrong there is a nother all american at 5a 103 Seth Metzler i gaurentee that he will give any good 103 pounder in the state a good match
No way will Gardner be 112. He'll either be 119 or 125
Ya, you are probably right but I think that all three of those guys(Gardner,Knox,Baldrige)are a head above the rest in the lower weights and would be nice to see them spread out and all win a state championship. I just thought that Gardner was probably the smallest(though probably the best)and would have the best chance at making 112lbs. since he wrestled at 105lbs. or something like that over the summer
Harding won't be able to make 112 this year
If you look at the results posted on
http://www.midwestwrestlingreport.com both Harding and Gardner wrestled @ 119lbs(with a 3lb. allowance) at the Fall Brawl just a few weeks ago!
Does anyone know if Thomas Rhodes is back at Wichita West and if so will he wrestle and at what weight class?
Shawnee Heights should not be left out of the predictions.
